Nobody can shoot good enough to notice the difference. What a selling gimmick, I made wooden arrows, Back in the day. I would straighten them, as best I could, usually the good ones , that I kept for hunting were plus or minus .005. Yes, I'm a machinist by trade. Then I would dip them in an ''Industrial Strength' Polyurethane. That made them basically waterproof, and helped keep them straight, and tough. After shimming the "Rest" on my Recurve, those wooden arrows would shoot (instinctive) bullet holes thru paper, consistently. As long as you made sure to "Spine Index" the grain of the wood, 90 degrees to the riser, when you glue the nocks on, before you fletch them ! So they all bend the same, when shot, but who knew, back then, not too many. Same problem today, with carbon, no matter how good they say they are, there not perfectly spined, 360 degrees around the arrow. You need to find the sweet spot. That's why Easton Aluminum Arrows (XX78) were King, for so long, they always had perfectly consist spine, no matter where you nocked it, or fletched it, But they had to come up with a way to make more money, because you can't sell a dozen Alum. arrows for $440.00 Dollars !!! What the hell is Bow Hunting coming too.. ?

Though, I appreciate a SBO like Kolby taking a _systems_-based solution approach to this. His comment about building an optimized end-to-end solution is something I would like to see a lot more of from manufacturers & arrow builders, versus just defaulting to slapping Blazers or Max Stealths on and sending them out the door. This piece of the product philosophy will probably be the most impactful on the market - I'd watch now for others to come out with complete arrow builds by 3rd party players which are designed in engineering simulation software to really build the most optimal solutions. Kyle @ DCA and Bill @ Iron Will are the only others I know who do that.

I thought of a video idea I haven't really seen much of. At what point does a few grains of arrow weight start to make a difference for a sight tape? For instance, 5gr difference... 10gr... 15gr... at what yardage do we start to see the variance? how much fps change is there?
@Muskiehunter92Ай бұрын
Average person wont see a difference at 5 grains or less out to 50-60 yards. The longer the distance the more difference you will see... but people that worry about a couple grains and cant shoot a vegas 300 will never see the difference. 10 grains is just far too much variance and we should always strive to have arrows as close as possible...but do I worry about a grain or 2? No, not usually. These arrows LOOK nice, but its all just marketing. They will not perform better than all the great arrows already available and for far less money. The one-off size provides nothing but limitations. A 4mm and 5mm are as close in size as they need to be... to make an arrow in between those is just ridiculous and almost like giving someone the finger and calling them stupid as you take their money. UV seems to be real hot with the new bowhunters that speak like they've been doing it for 10 years, but cant shoot worth a damn, and want to buy their way into better shooting. They do make okay stuff, but their price is always a bit much. Other companies make stuff just as well for far less.

UV is going to take a lot of heat on pricing, regardless of their partnership with Victory to create a net-new arrow size (high R&D cost and revenue sharing can't be ignored in launch pricing). Currently they're _way_ heavier than I'd prefer with 75gr up front, but am thrilled with the GPI and build quality. I suspect there will be a strong market within those who can afford these in bareshaft form to add some 30-40gr titanium goodness. *Vanes:* ooooh, I want to grab these for a H2H against the Mini Sabres.

Kept the weakest part of a 4mm for what’s supposed to be “best of both worlds”…the outsert. This looks to cover very little of the shaft internally and externally from what reviews are showing so far. If you have hands on experience plz correct me. Which means it still has the propensity to bend. Better, longer insert with a collar and they hit it out of the park. Currently shooting x10 parallels with iron will components, finished arrow $39/ shaft + build time. If UV made a better front half this would be intriguing to cut build time.

For that money, I would buy a lot of Black Eagle X-Impacts. Never got to see how out of round these are save for a spin test, not got to see a spine test. I’ll stick with BE.

The same guys crying about the price buy over priced camo, bows, sights… etc. smh These arrows look awesome! And I build my own, but it’s very time consuming. Why not pay a little extra for better quality? People just love to complain! Great video brother!
@jasonard7227Ай бұрын
it takes very little time to build your own arrows plus all they doing is slapping a white wrap on it and there crappy short insert and when they do it you get what you get nothing custom about that. if we do it we get the best ethics parts just as good victory arrow at the weight and foc we want

Are you going to do a long term review about them later? Or just let us all know what you hear about them?

My x-impacts are half the price and every tolerance is just as good.

Lol, so Canadians are paying north of 600 for a dozen arrown, can get 30 match grade easton axis for the same price. Anything ultraview youre just paying for a pretty package. Sorry Colby, but easton and spot hogg still blow your products out of the park

$440/dozen and we'll see clowns bust ALL of them at TAC

I build my own arrows so this doesn’t appeal to me. They are cool tho, if I didn’t have a home shop with everything I need to build arrows I might consider buying them. The 4.5mm is a bad move imo. I’ll stick with my rip tkos and match grade axis shafts. Great review mfjj!

Wow I’m going to pick these up! Just need to rob a bank first!!😂
@jasondonahue1924Ай бұрын
They do have great packaging and they also have great pricing to compensate for it, give me a plain old cardboard box and cut $75 off the price. Is this the future now? Every error maker is going to come out with their own size, their own components? What if I don't want 175 grains up front? Thanks for the video but I will be passing on these arrows due to the price
