Hey Josh, thanks for the thorough reviews. One thing I always prioritize with a hunting bow is the ability to let down smoothly without making noise or jerky movements likely to spook an animal. Usually an aggressive draw curve means it'll be hard to let down smoothly. I'd be curious to hear your take not just on how the bows draw, but how they let down.

When you do the mass sound test for every bow, maybe use a super common arrow weight. Like 430-450gn. Hunters are the only ones that care about Db, so that weight might be the most useful data? Thank you for being the people’s champ!

We have 3 bowtechs with excessive cam lean. Cp28 and 2 sr350s . Pretty sure it is limb issues and i think it's caused from the lack of a split yoke.
@sheyanderson4371Ай бұрын
Split yokes don't change or fix bad limbs. One thing that can be checked is if the axle is still centered between the limbs. If they are used bows, users and techs can over-adjust the Deadlock system, which will shift the actual axle position in the limbs and cause tuning issues. Done it myself and seen where techs have done it as well. With the SR350's, I would also try upping the spine on the arrows and see if that helps the cam lean. I didn't have any issues with my SR350, but I do know mine preferred stiffer spines in tuning and grouping.

I've seen it already mentioned, but I want to stress it. The tags on bows make more noise than the bow sometimes. I know they're brand new and you're wanting to sell them as such, but you'll have to do something with the tags during these tests. That said none of them are pound and a lot of people interpret different as loud. I owned a McPherson Eliminator back in the mid 90's. I know what's loud now is. Nothing in the last 15 years is actually loud! 😜

They are affordable and I believe as light or lighter than any limb leg options out there.

What do you suggest for a lefty? Most shops will have one left handed bow in the store and it’s usually a Mathews.
@Angel.Custodio2 ай бұрын
As a lefty I feel you. There are 2 factors, what you prefer, speed or comfort draw wise, also, depending how comfortable you are with working on your bow. If the latter isn’t to high, sticking to whatever your shop has makes it easier for you and them. Can’t go wrong with Bowtech, Mathews, or Hoyt. I fine shops have those 3
@lamont50502 ай бұрын

@Gibbs-Bijan-moon2 ай бұрын
The original ss34 was waaay smoother drawing . This is more adjustable
@sheyanderson43712 ай бұрын
If you don't plan on using Time-Lock or Grip-Lock, you can save some money with the SS34. You could also probably get the SX80 for the same price or cheaper than this, which is the 80# option of the SS34. The draw is so smooth, it doesn't feel like 80# at all and you get a bump in speed with the extra poundage.

@HuWhiteNat2 ай бұрын
This system is the gold standard and Mathews is simply doing the only thing they can to approximate this tech without patent infringement. Darton and Elite’s tuning systems are both superior to the Mathews thing. They are late to the party. I don’t like the Mathews thing at all. The Bowtech system will absolutely take care of standard paper tears.
@Orr_s2 ай бұрын
@ yeah i mean i shoot a Hoyt so im not biased to either, i think all of todays bows and brands are all good. Dont love or hate any one brand. @jwild53602 ай бұрын
I mentioned this before but You’ve got this “load out point” very wrong. This measurement doesn’t correlate with the string angle and that’s what your saying will make the bow “feel” longer or shorter. This bowtech string angle in YOUR drawboard under YOUR specs measure 66 degrees. The lift x also has a 33 1/2 inch “load out point” as u call it. The lift X string angle in YOUR drawboard at YOUR specs measure 70 degrees. Bowtech measure exactly 30 inches. Mathews 30 1/4 on draw length. That further proves the point. It severely has to do with cam ANGLE and not cam to cam measurement. The Hoyt and elite will have a substantially better string angle than both of these with a much smaller “load out” One inch of draw length generally correlates to about 1 degree of change. 66 to 70 is a substantial string angle difference even though the “load out” is the same. You’re on the right track but this is just poor info. It has zero correlation to what the bow will feel like at full draw when it comes to ata length as string angle determines that which doesn’t correlate as I just showed. If u want this info to match your wording you need to be measure the actual string angle which is very simple. Long story short load out and string angle do NOT go hand in hand.

@@Allegiance_Outdoors it’s why Bowtech should have licensed it… one of the provisions of most licensing agreements is a clause, that you cannot use anything similar for a decade sometimes until a licensed patent expires. Engineering is pretty well maxed out in terms of performance, it’s always going to be a give and take, that’s why new bows are in between 330-340fps. That’s the sweet spot for speed, feel, sound, and efficiency. Features and weight are about the last things they can improve upon. Also, Bowtech has used polymer limb pockets for years and had little to no durability issues.
