He played it exactly how it was described in the sheet music, nothing more, nothing less. Liszt couldn’t disapprove because if this is what you compose, this is what you get. A beautiful but practical rendition of “La Campanella”.

Zeer goede technische uitvoering maar naar mijn mening weinig emotie en passie in het geheel waardoor het houterig klinkt. La Campanella spelen is niet voor ieder mens weggelegd, het is en blijft een zeer veeleisend stuk.
