A different video on KZbin, the guy says to water them every single day (non-dwarf variety) for 12 months after planting, or they will surely die. He also said to expect 5-10 percent to die no matter what you do.

I am taking care of them as a gardener here in the Philippines, they might die because of the kinds of the soil or not enough water flow going to their roots

if your soil does not drain well, don't water everyday
