This was a huge L for Rod. Being so salty because he refuses to aknowledge that, their games lack to meet the standards anymore. PoE2 raised the bar, so Blizz either starts to live up to those new standards, or accept to be left in the dust. The real core problem of D4, that might be fixed one day, is that D4 didn't deliver exponential gameplay. Instead, in its first iterations so far, it delivered Zelda horses that allow the player avoid core gameplay, static maps, developer-chosen static builds, static oriented graph skill trees, ...etc. Everything that is opposed to core gameplay and exponential combinations, which in the end hurts build variety and replayability. The result is a game that you finish once, and takes dust after that. D4 devs need to rewire their brains in order to think Exponential rather than Linear.

it would be funny if GGG would add a "boss" in PoE2 that is incredibly easy to beat (like one shot at any level with any gear or something like that) and named it "'NossugreF': the lord of the crystal salt tears". But now it is officially released, they make seasons in 4-6 months with somewhat little content and people go back to Diablo or POE very fast for the lack of content in LE. They have a roadmap for the next year or so, but all the new content is small in compare with POE2.

There's no doubt that PoE was influenced by Diablo because they have said it several times. But PoE has far surpassed it at this point. And for anyone who disagrees with me, because some of yall are going to, let's just look at the amount of things we got from PoE2's hype showcase and then let's look at what we got for both OG release and the expansion for D4. They've lost. I hope those of you that like D4 enjoy your game but I know for me personally PoE and PoE2 will always be top dog, with LE second.

I just played for 200 hours this season in D4. I still like it even though it's catered to casuals besides, this was the best season yet. If you want more than 200 hours though, this game is not enough that's true. Even 200 is probably too much.

For those who dont understand, Diablo-like is games inspired from D1 and, especially, D2. One thing this video is wrong is that those people involved in D3 and D4 projects are not even relevant, left alone the inspiration stuff. People love Blizzard NORTH team for D2 and some of the legendary games, but they have been long gone. They, the people now at Blizzard, just use the name to milk us. That's not our Diablo anymore, only the name! In contrast, PoE, admittedly, honestly treasure the legacy every time possible by inviting the Devs of D2 to their biggest events ( Exilecon 1 and 2 ). PoE2 is what you get when the devs are passionate about the game, play the game and want to make a good game before anything else. The simple fact that PoE2 looks light years ahead of D4 and is FREE while D4 has a huge box price, paid expansions, paid for battle passes and an insanely expensive cash shop on top of all that should tell you all you need to know. PoE2 is 100x more "Diablo-like" than D4. D4 is more "Diablo Immortal-like".

The sad part is Blizzard could do all of the things POE2 does but they choose not to they want to make the most money they can while doing the least amount of work....They could make more interesting unique items but they don`t they could add a much better skill tree with more options for build diversity but they don`t . When i play Diablo 3 or 4 I get bored and tired and feel mentally drained. It's just not fun like Diablo 1 and 2 were and doesn't have the dark Gothic feel to it graphics wise. And the itemization was bad even the naming of items in 3 and 4 sucked compared to the realism of 1 and 2. PoE 2 looks like it will be alot more fun, Can't wait.

Here's a thought. Diablo franchise has earned blizzard many many millions, despite some of the later entries being dog shit. I have a hard time imagining how one company could miss the mark so hard on such a basic formula. It's as if they didn't even try playing their own games. From the looks of things, Poe team is actually putting in the work. GGG surely makes mistakes too. The difference is, they try and if things don't work they change them. I'm not a fan of Diablo 4 and I do not play the game. I also think that this is a dumb thing to do on Rod's part. But I am so sick of people defending PoE and promoting it because it has to be the scummiest non-mobile game I have ever seen. Activistion/Blizzard/Microsoft do some really dumb shit and the $90 WoW mount is ridiculous but we are all ok with PoE selling a $480 cosmetic pack.
