Great to hear but please be mindful that this was a guide for an old patch 3.18, things probably have changed since then - I'm currently not playing PoE so can't confirm. If something doesn't match up or look right, this is probably why!

Hey man just wanted to say [I started in standard league] thanks for this! Although I've played poe a little here and there and understand some of the basic systems I've never levelled that far with my minion builds because the damage really fell off and I was super squishy. Using this as a base I understand where I went wrong in earlier builds. Currently racing through act 3 and I can feel my power scaling instead of deflating.

I just started playing again after a LONG time away. Having a blast right now at level... 14, I think. Summon raging spirit, raise zombie, and summon skeletons all have summon phantasm support and minion damage support. I know it's still very early and this early experience likely won't reflect the late game but there's just something about running around with this massive army is just bonkers fun. I know you said not to bother with skellies, and I agree I don't actually need them. But it's fun! ^_^

Problem with POE begins when you've played a long time and get tired of too many options and complexities if you really want to reach high content levels. Accessibility of the game sucks on a general level.

Well if you think that speed is what they need, you'll put the gem where your main sped-up minion is, e.g. zombies. So ultimately it's up to you and the variation of the build you're running. If you're seriously into summoners, search youtube for Kay's summoner guides - she's the boss.

great Guide. just started playing the game fresh had no experience with it before. 1 question you talk about different support gems but I don't got items with more then 3 sockets. so for my zombies I cant put everting in it speed gem, dmg gem and swipe gem, phantasm. what are your recommendations which gems to replace and to run. (until I am assuming you get 4-5-6 socket items) I am running at the moment on my raging spirits - dmg and phantasm zombies - speed and phantasm (love the more summons 10 phantasm this way) act 2 at the moment and cant find any items with more then 3 sockets, or maybe it is a mechanic I am missing.

Hello mate, I assume you've levelled a little higher and by now can see that 4 socket and 5 socket items are not that rare once you're close to the end of the campaign. 6 sockets, especially linked ones are indeed rather rare and you'd do yourself a massive favor if you watched my "how to buy stuff" guide (video on the channel) that will introduce you to the community market, where for 5-10 chaos orbs you can secure a nice linked 6 socket piece that'll do the trick for you. Hope it helps!

Problem is - it's VERY old 🤣 Take a look at one of the more recent guides, just take a look at my channel and literally the last 2-3 videos were about summoner builds with updated POBs and they should have all the answers you need. Old guides are out of sync with what you're seeing in the game, as the developers change things from League to league, patch to patch.

Hey, welcome to the game (you've made the right choice! 🤣), you need to either download or use one of those smart-sync installs for item filters. Check out www.filterblade.xyz/ and follow their instructions. It's very hard to play PoE without a loot filter.

Hey thank you! At the beginning you only have Zombies, Skeletons and Spectres, unless you're using Summon Raging Spirit spell. Later you also get golems to run around. Sometimes I also throw in Skitterbots to add chilling and shocking effects, but can't honestly remember what exactly I did in this build

Sorry my friend, the guide is really old so I wouldn't be able to provide a proper advice at the moment... Linked robes you can either buy on the market and 5-link wouldn't be too expensive as long as you have a handful of Chaos Orbs, or you need to be lucky and get Tabula Rasa as a random legendary drop. It rather often drops from your Menagerie beast fights.

Hey the shield effect is tempest shield spell (I think, you might need to cross-check). Now, months after this build was made I wouldn't bother with either arcane cloak or arctic armour, as those are mana dependent and would rather rely on the passives and ascendancy, plus beefing up your own heath and block chance.

I have a lot the summons skills like carion golem reaper, chaos golem ,fire golem , stone , golem , and what I think is the best is specter summon if you find a good strong enemy to control over it's easy mode they kill any boss almost almost instantly but if get hit I might die instantly to so there is that

Vaal Summon Skeletons and any other Vaal gems come from Vaal areas that are random entrances/portals in ANY map that you're doing - you just need to be lucky. OR you could buy a gem from Path of Exile Trade (website, Google for it).

@@GyrotexGaming Thank you so much I was so addicted I got lvl 47 in 2 days and I got vaal skeleton summon gems twice in different vaal red domains. I also got other vaal gems but dont know what to do with it.. I just know that showing the vaal domains are RNG I should explore the whole map, sometimes its not there as well. Also in the treasure inside the vaal its not sure what corrupted items I would get. By the way thank you for the tips on how to trade it POE market, your videos are super helpful! good thing the list there was already sorted from cheapest. It depends on the summon. Zombies, Golems and Spectres are permanent (until they die, then you need to resummon). Skeletons, Raging Spirits and Phantasms are temporary. Max number depends on your talents and level of the summoning gem. E.g. you start with 3 zombies on the lowest level gem and character. Hope it helps you.

You must be talking about Summon Phantasm support gem, it's very useful, and available very early in the game from Act 1

This is a leveling guide aka "build guide". Good choice of a build, but bad choice of a video as this is an old league 3.18. We're on the verge of 3.24 now - a lot of things have changed since then. Look for a more recent guide. AND if a lot of things don't make sense to you, you need a generic beginners guide to the game, not a build guide.

You: 1) level for a bit and get a few chaos orbs first (they drop from stuff). By Act 10 you're still "New" but you should have 10-15 of those found, most likely. 2) watch my video about how to use PoE Marketplace 3) go buy a 6 linked chest piece 4) enjoy!

1. this is an old guide, look at the game version - it tells you 2. look for the final part of the guide, I usually include path of building with the build in it 3. google is your friend, if you don't know real basics, like what is "path of building". Just search for it. Can't explain everything in one guide.

It's literally given to you as a gem reward for completing one of the very first couple of quests. Summon Zombie.

I haven't tried this in 3.19 but it should be mostly usable, other than in 3.19 you'll rely on items more to boost your minion survivability etc, rather than gems and talents as it used to be

running the vitality gem makes it so zombies can't die for anyone not wanting to resummon zombies for those that don't know

Also investing in the talent that heals your summons when others die (Raging Spirits) is good for upkeep too. Vitality is OK but in only scales up to so much damage absorption.

I wanted to like this video but starting out with that chest piece kinda ruined it for me. Im a actual beginner and linking all my sockets is waaaaaaaay more difficult than you make it look. It's an option on the screen when you create a new character. If you pick that, you won't be able to trade with other players, ever (on this character). It's an extra challenge.

leveling guide assumes some knowledge of the game, not a bare bones 101. If this confused you, stick to Diablo.
