Mate you used 52 Mirror, and you charge only 150 divine for mirror fee? Is this feasible?

I have to balance what is fair for me , fair for the player mirroring, and realistic to expect someone to pay. I will make sure everyone else eats and then recoup what I can for myself. I play enough, and make enough currency to eat losses when they happen. The final 2 mods cost 40 mirrors on an average crafting cost of 11 mirrors. Variance is variance and sometimes the bad luck has to be absorbed by the crafter-- in this case, me.

If there was truly 67 mirrors spent in the crafting of an Ele Bow (and not a phys bow), I struggle to understand the financial incentive to do something like this. Would be willing to bet this bow does not recoup even half of the investment used to craft it. Hope to be proven wrong though.

Well, he mentions that he had his ele bow last league mirrored something like 500 times. If we assume that same amount this league, he would more than double his investment. (If we assume 450 per mirror it would take 201 services to recoup)

40 mirrors of that was on the last 2 mods - which was 4x the average crafting cost. at that stage of the craft you are already pot committed so to speak. Variance is variance. Win some, lose some. Remain transparent and fair as I can.

You speak about being transparent amd in the video turn around and mention something, some knowledge that you cant share cuz it will shake things up too much. That is wrong dude. Information should be free to those who want to learn and if it isnt an exploit the community deserves to know. I’ve streamed every minute of what I’m doing and have a viewable spreadsheet. It is not reasonable to expect me to message 20 different people who all live in different time zones at every point throughout the day to give them an update when they can just turn on my stream and see, or just msg me in game. Doing so would directly impact my capacity to do so, as I’ve largely been left out on a limb by the group of 10 people who were supposed to be helping me craft this. I have a hard enough time as it is with balancing my attention between trading, making money, streaming, tracking data, mirror crafting , buying mats, servicing items , and finding new ways to do so productively without whatever it is you are suggesting. Any person that loaned me money did so by watching my stream while I was crafting and dming me in game - why there would ever be an unspoken change to that in terms of expectation I do not know. In the 3 days since the bow was finished I have paid back 4,917 divines of the 7946 divines I was loaned. I have messaged every single person on that list multiple times to try and pay them back in part so they did not go without for too long. At the time of crafting , I said I would be able to pay people back from the fees generated as soon as I got them , not only have i done this , but I have spent 59 hours since Friday generating currency myself through other means to do so. The entirety of which was streamed and updated on the sheet. If someone was offline when I tried to message them I move onto the next person and pay them back. The craft was 40 locks away from being finished on paper - everyone was watching who loaned me currency and saw where I was at when it was happening. That 40 locks needed turned into 280 extra locks (360 total as I had 82 on me when started for t1 ias out of 122 average). I never once said to anyone at any point that I would individually provide updates to them about what I’m doing as it seems glaringly obvious that simply turning on the stream and looking would be an infinitely more practical measure. I / we got fucked by rng and I am doing beyond my best to rectify that as quickly as possible. I also had the explicit voluntary and committed word of 9 other people on my crafting team that they would be sharing the costs , which they have not (hence the loans in the first place). I also then had the explicit commitment on their part to help me repay those loans as quickly as possible since they were only made in the first place due to their inaction and failure to meet their financial obligations. That also has not happened. I am also being hit by inflation acting as a quasi- interest rate as the cost of the materials loaned has risen in the past 3 days. Thus far, accounting for 1100 divines of additional $ on my end. What 10 people were supposed to be doing I am doing alone. I am documenting , and I am streaming with 100 % transparency. If you are expecting more than that I cannot help you. I have been doing nothing but craft this bow and repay this bow since the 3rd day of the league. I think any honest person could recognize that, I take my integrity seriously but as a practical matter it is more important for me to pay back what I owe than it is to tell people how I plan to pay them back. If they want that information they can type in a url and see exactly what I am doing, or better yet contact one of the other 9 people on my crafting team to ask for specifics as they all have access to the sheets and are in group chats with me in game or in discord. I don’t know what people expect of me but I am one person I can’t be everywhere doing everything for everyone at once.

I was not able to Catch your Streams. So I pinged you on your discord, directly and @ you in your own discord. You ingored my message and responded to the next one in line about some random topic. I am not asking for a Personal Update. A link to the doc or anyone of your crafting Team responding would have been fine. Being ignored on multiple channels feels like shit. I also want to clarify that I am not doubting your integrity and honesty. If I did, I would bot have lent you a mirror to begin with. I asked for Information, and didnt get any. You could have responded with: check put this URL to the table, please message me ingame when you are online and we woulda been Set. All I asked for. None of your previous Streams have vods (available to me) the last one i can see is the one where you crafted the bow on friday. So no way for me to verified what is happening with currency. There are more things with your Response that I don't like, but it really doesnt matter. I and your community appreciate what you are doing, and I was not trying to attack you. I was letting you know that I personally was disappointed in the communication regarding the currency I gave you to finish YOUR craft, that you will potentially benefit alot from. And that is fine! I would have hoped for some transparency, which would have shown appreciation. Hell a fucking pin in your server to the table would have been totally fine. You tag @everyone for every Single thing. Why is it too much to ask, to ping one @ everyone "this is the plan for paybacks of the 30 mirror you loaned me"?

Nothing is free. If you aren't paying, someone else did. And if the product you use is free, you are the product. If someone ever makes a zero fee bow who entirely pays for it themselves, crafts it themselves, services it themselves, and does not stream / financially benefit from it-- moral highground can be claimed. Until then, people are simply naive and selfish to not recognize the incentive structures that exist from doing so. If you're up for a fun exercise, go look at the average viewer count, sub count, and watch hours (ad $) of anyone who has ever made a zero fee mirror item. Next, see if they are the ones taking the time to service it. Stopping what youre doing getting spam messaged to service a "free craft" must be pretty annoying. I wonder if anyone has ever quit before once they realized this? Next, who is paying for it--- are they taking loans, if so-- how are they paying them back if the bow has zero fee? If not-- then they aren't free....your mirror fee was simply paid by whoever "crowdfunded" that currency. If you're not convinced-- here is the "incentive structure" -Craft with other people's money = there is no financial downside if it is very expensive, or has outlying bad variance. -Craft mirror item, (since locks exist this process is no longer a multiple week/hundreds of hours endeavor but one that can be done in 1-2 days) earning thousands of dollars in ad revenue, sub revenue, and countless $ value of stream growth/name recognition/content/ and "good will" from the community -Spend no time servicing the item = No future downside exposure in time lost, distraction, or irritation from content focus. It's not against ToS, so all the power to whomever so chooses to do the above... but I assure you, it is not driven by altruism and inability of people to understand this is rather damaging to an equitable playing field in game (ceding means of production to an omnipotent central figure who effectively bars free market competition due to removing financial incentives has happened a couple times historically IRL too -- can google that if you want case studies and/or specifics)

If you are unable or unwilling to remove that lens and look at it from a macro perspective in terms of long term ramifications to the game and to the community than there is no point in having this discussion. I am acutely aware of this, in fact, as I was the first person to ever do it. When I realized the ethical ramifications of doing so I never did it again. You say it is just a video game , but again , this is your ignorance speaking. I made $5,500 in a month doing it. I disclosed this at the time in my video on Loath thunder. magically, the next league settlers shop appeared, then ckaiba, and on and on. To YOU it is just a game-- to plenty of people it is a livelihood. You may be too self involved to approach what I am saying through a different lens but it does not change the fact that for the game this is a very bad thing, and despite people thinking its to their benefit, which it may be in a vacuum--- in the long run it is not.
