[PoE 3.24] Reverse Chill Elemental Hit Deadeye - FULL GUIDE (and my league starter)

At the time of creating this guide, a brand new transfigured Elemental Hit gem is being hidden from the community. It could turn out to be a game changer. Or perhaps it's a total dud. I'll update this pinned post to let you know when I find out! UPDATE #1: www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3497686 for the new Elemental Hit of Spectrum. It appears to be a very strong gem specifically before you get good flat elemental rolls (it helps makes up for bad gear). Like the regular gem, it comes with no % added damage effectiveness, so losing the convenience of removing cold for similar damage means it's likely not going to be good in the end. UPDATE #2: pobb.in/leXACsVT1vEp Upon hearing some of the feedback concerns of single-target, I concur it's the weakest aspect of the build. On the flipside, I think I've undersold the tankiness of the build. So, I've been contemplating dropping the 3-link IK+CWDT+WoC and moving Flame Dash in to take the place of Innervate. This adds a free 4-link for single-target. I'd recommend either an Artillery Ballista setup or in the spirit of not adding any buttons, a Storm Rain Manaforged setup instead. I've updated the PoB to include the Storm Rain link. After testing on an Eater Kill, this appears to have nearly tripled single target. UPDATE #3: pobb.in/1PNcfqOzUnYp per a recent tech video that focused on Wyrmsign, I've decided to swap Shadows and Dust for Wyrmsign to get even more single target damage, and get some reduced mana cost into the build. This is likely to be the final PoB of the build prior to league launch. Good luck, everyone!

Taking a look at the PoB in Update #2 and the PoB in the description, they appear nearly the same (WoC isn't in either of them, which leads me to believe you updated the one in the description). However, there are some gem and item differences, namely that Blast Rain is replaced with Concentrated Effect in the Update #2 PoB, and Wyrmsign is replaced with Shadows and Dust. Which of these PoBs do you currently recommend to use? The one in the description, or the one labeled Update #2 in the above comment?

After playing into t8/9 maps today, One thing that's really neat about ele hit is that you can easily do all of acts and early maps with one dinky 1c unique: roths reach. Since ele hit moves all the flat damage into the kit, the massive 60-80 ele% dmg mod on roth pretty much ensures that you'll be fine on damage. The +2 chain also fixes early clear. No more futzing around looking for bow upgrades every 3 or 4 acts, a problem i had with LA a lot. At yellow maps the lack of flat damage does catch up with you though, since the manaforged setups will end up lacking heavily. But by then you probs have enough c to buy a 600 ele dps bow (they were 10 to 30c when i snagged mine)

That's pretty nice. I think going for ele bow upgrades the traditional way will likely yield better performance, but with added headache. I'm wondering if a Quill Rain with Ele Hit of the Spectrum can't just full clear up to reds.

I took a look today and found some listed for 4-10d+ Inspired learning being so expensive is also a bit of a pain... the warlords tech is actually so good for zooming but the problem is my damage isn't quite there yet so I end up having to stop and shoot rares for quite a while which defeats the zoomy nature of the build. I guess I could try to shore my bow and quiver, both could use a fair bit of work (though one could argue spending the capital there on getting an inspired learning instead would be better?) One more thing? Do storm rain and storm rain of conduit not stack? Is that why you opted for blast rain instead? If I missed that detail in the video apologies

On league start how are we supposed to get the Call of The Void ring, it's a rare uber elder drop and very expensive

poe.ninja/economy/affliction/unique-accessories/call-of-the-void-sapphire-ring it was 20c all throughout the first week of last league. Roll ranges don't matter on this item. Masses of players will be killing Uber Elder during this time for the Voidstone. It's a 12% drop and isn't a popular item. If you're concerned about the price of an item this one isn't it. Inspired Learning will be a lot more expensive. But I admit in the guide it's likely the most expensive item yet not really necessary to get.

Well, I did a SSF runthrough and unlocked the first two voidstones on a 4-link LA setup. Never even got to the build, but I'm sure it would have been doable. The full build requires a 6-link (secondary) as shown in the video.

Elemental hit of the spectrum is best to use until you’re ready for cast on crit warlords mark. That requires a high crit chance and a spare 5-link at least.

Good question. It's to give the highest chance for warlord proc stuns. Plus, I've already rationalized my way into selective (fire and lightning) damage scaling, so might as well double dip in that.

Is there some merit to using a different bow skill and running secrets instead after a crit swap? Or does self chill interaction need you to "inflict" chill on yourself?

You can run a different bow skill with secrets of suffering, but won't be able to chill enemies (only yourself). You basically lose all the bonus powers that come from Call of the Void. Won't be able to chill, shatter, or freeze anything. I'd probably give up reverse chill in that case.

Similar damage when berserk is up but a bit less when it’s down. More tanky and speedy overall. So they’re on similar footing.

Not really, because that gem can't turn off cold. It will however be good in a non-reverse chill setup with Warlord's Mark, Secrets of Suffering, Skitter bots, and Yoke of Suffering

I have an aspirational MF version of this build in the PoB if you switch over the gear sets. So I will probably pursue that. But it kinda requires Mageblood or dropping reverse chill. Not 100% sure what I'll do. CA MF Pathfinder will be good I presume.

I assumed it would be, and it is quite strong but not with reverse chill. You can still chill yourself with Secrets of Suffering, but if you read the Call of the Void lines of text (the really good ones). You can't chill enemies, therefor you cannot get a significant added damage reduction from them, and you cannot shatter them, which means herald of ice pops no longer function. So if I made this build with Secrets of Suffering, it would be without reverse chill. I'm actually planning to theorycraft and test an LA MF league starter build with Secrets of Suffering today on stream.

Clearly the reverse chill is faster and seems like a good Legion blaster which is what I want to do but how expensive do you think the bow variant will be to get up and running to do t16 legions? I've never done a lightning arrow character before so this is unknown to me.

You are not immunte to ailments, lose 2 rings slots for mf also more squishy and less dmg only to be a faster zoomer. I think without hh on map 17 / delirium etc this build is to squishy.

I did a run through nearly completing the atlas on a 4-link. Still running lightning arrow. Didn't even have a chance to run the build, cause it requires a 6-link. So, I'm sure it can, yeah.

How much % action speed build gets from self-chill here? Isn't build gonna be lacking in clear with this setup? No Chain Gem and whatnot. No GMP. And Ele Hit on it's own is just arrow with some AOE.

You can see throughout the video, there’s a 30% chill debuff on the character up at most times. You can try no return proj and no pierce for ricochet plus tornado or w/e if you like. GMP is bad on builds like this (and Lightning Arrow) because our arrows can’t shotgun.

I would advise against going this build. Personally, I hit a wall at around t12-t16s. It will not get you through map progression without extensive gear investment. In fact, Snoobae completely shifted from his build guide after a couple of days just to try to fix his own build. You can check his character out on poe ninja he doesnt even follow his own build.

Sorry you had a bad experience with the build. I didn’t deviate from my build other than the leveling portion (which was more up in the air). Instead of generic rares I did some experimental freeze tech, which I made a video about. I swapped LA for Ele Hit transfigured gem which was anticipated after seeing how strong the new gem was going to be. As of day 3, I was using regular Ele hit again with the warlords mark and reverse chill, for clarity.

I am also running this build and have had a great time doing. I was doing t16s fairly easy with a crappy bow. Felt great when i got a decent 1k ele bow, and that was before the cheap mirrored necro crafts became prevalent. Felt even better after crafting one like in the POB. Now to figure out how to create a great bow with necro!

You know I'm half tempted to rebut every single one of your individual item projected claims, but I think I'll just spend my time elsewhere. No nuance whatsoever. Who said you need the exact rolls of the exact gear I have? I even went out of my way to say in the guide that an extra arrow on quiver isn't necessary. Nor is Inspired Learning. This is a league start GUIDE. Not a mandate. Items used here are representative of the goal in mind. Just so you're aware, there are lot of people who used to make decent guides (better than me no doubt) who no longer do because of comments like these. Overly strict, arrogant, and devoid of any respect . . . claiming to know the base minimum price of items in the future while simultaneously having zero nuanced understanding of the build. You take one glance at a PoB, and you think you're going to lecture me about a build I've put dozens of hours brainstorming and testing prior to making the video as if you know these things better than I? Case-in-point, if you actually looked into it you would realize you don't need for example a 'T1 STR + T1 LIFE + ELE DMG' belt. I happened to roll mine unusually well on the test character. Oh by the way, those aren't T1 fractures. They're T2. Just thought you might want to know that.

@@bhhhcgjju2996 It's a league starter, just not for noobs, you can easly get that gear in day 1-2-3 if you are playing a game, you can farm a mirror in the first day if you know how to play the game, btw snoo guides are not for new players

@bhhhcgjju2996 This gear that Mr. Snoo has gathered comes from him being giga lucky while rolling it for themselves (as they have already mentioned) or some garbage with nothing less than a T2 roll. You can absolutely gather this gear if you play kinda like a no-lifer on day 2-3 or even day 1-2 as the other guy said in the comments. But, generally people don't have that much time to put into a game unlike streamers or the no_lifer guys out there. Also, it seems like you are a noob (including me) who can't make a mirror on day one as @toxickys has said (they might be making multiple mirrors on day 1, who knows). Speaking for myself, I don't have a guild to fund me nor do I do RMT or snipe items or 16h playtime on D1. I'd advise you to go for another build that is more budget friendly, like Snoo's TR or CoC DD (something that has gained popularity recently). You may not be able to get this gear on day 2 or 3 but in week 1, for sure. GLHF!!

You can pin the breakpoints wherever you like. The gear I post is the goal for that breakpoint. I mentioned in the guide that Inspired Learning isn't necessary for the build. Just a good item that can be obtained pretty early, with some currency of course.
