2 other good skills for sanctum are volatile dead and volcanic fissure of snaking. They can be cast behind walls and seek the enemies. Great guide dude.

@Travic How is your movement so precise. In my case, if I want to move 1 meter to my right, for example, I always tend to overshoot or undershoot by a few centimeters. Is there some trick to precise movement, or is it just due to my 100ms+ lag? This does not affect my mapping too much, but here in Sanctum, I am losing 'resolve' (sanctum life) too much. Edit: Also, is that the 'Haunted by a Tormented Spirit' runecraft on your wand?

Movement I suspect is just from TONS and TON and TONS of practice honestly. Also keeping a cool head in sanctum helps a lot. I would say just give it some more practice! As far as the Haunted by mod it is from the runecraft runeword

@@Travic_ Ok. Then I will spend quite a bit of time with sanctum during the rest of this league. Already collected quite a bit of Sanctum books from my hundreds of map runs so far. Hopefully I will be able to complete at least one of the runs.

I don't remember ever being able to successfully completing all the floors of even the quest sanctum, let alone any other sanctums. For some reason, sanctum feels to me like the most boring, time consuming way to fail a run and waste a lot of time, which I could use to run through several maps. Yesterday I attempted my sanctum quest run again at level 99 and still failed at floor 3 due to something related to resolve related stuff I don't bother. I just want to kill stuff. It appears tankyness/level etc. don't even matter in sanctum! Hence I am here to find out if it can be any fun and if I can complete my quest sanctum.

Sanctum is all about speed and blowing up mobs without them ever hitting you. If you really want to just not think and kill mobs sanctum can become that. You just want a high high high high dps build that just blasts.

Merchant street for sure. Abuse the power of the merchant. Even buyin a full set of +1 additional merchant to get started is so powerful

As i understand its better have ranged skill character then melee character in Sanctum? also is there a good DPS point where you can farm sanctum safely? like 2mil dps or 10mil and so on?

I have about 7m dps on hexblast mines (without wither stacks) rn and I absolutely annihilate everything in there. I’ve died to Lycia from being silly, but she doesn’t get to all of her phases before I kill her. Everything else is a joke. Also, I wouldn’t recommend melee in there at all.

I can't enter as I had to leave the sanctum mid first run for life reasons and now dont have a book relic to re enter.

You can leave and re-enter during a sanctum run but only after you've completed a room. Considering most rooms take a minute or two should be no problem. The tome stays in the relic alter and you just open it again.

@@scottp7937 Ah my tome didn't stay in the relic it disappeared.I Tried getting another Tome at the Ossuary but you cant pick it up the 2nd time round. So have no way to enter unless I find another tome.

@@volkira just by them they are 1 or 2c. Make sure you click the button bottom left on the sanctum map to save and exit during a sanctum run after you've completed a room

Hey, i started sanctum 3/4 days ago and it's been fun. i wanted to explore new dynamics on it like the unique relics. Do you recomend any? and why Edit: i'm using 6 reveal 2 room and 1 max resolve on boss kill right now. but i'm not struggling with damage but i'm very squishy

If I die in Sanctum in HC do I lose my character or just get kicked out?

I believe if you die you are dead. I haven’t tried it in hardcore. I’m not sure if your character stays alive with just resolve loss

If your HP goes to 0, it's just a regular HC death, Ziz has one Sanctum RIP. If you lose all your resolve you just fail the Sanctum.

are you sure that "resolve mitigation" also includes block and "your defences dont matter"? poe wiki says sanctum def mechanics are armor, evasion and ES (resolve mitigation, avoidance and aegis respectively)

I tested it on floor 4 with the fireballs and on some guards and never lost resolve. The only time my block didnt work is if I had an affliction that negated resolve mitigation or enemy hits ignored mitigation. Otherwise it was smooth sailing. Probably needs more testing to confirm but on the floor 4 fireball room I would just run up mid on stream all the time and never take resolve loss or damage cause it was always blocked.

@@retryz7218 You are welcome! For sure though if you try it out and give it a whirl make sure you test without the negative boons. Remember too you CANNOT BLOCK those weird ground trap lasers, any of the lasers or meteors those are all unblockable

Step 1 have a bunch of damage step 2 ,go brrr. Sanctum is just a dps check outside of like the battle arenas witg flameheads or the find tge exit with fire balls

There's a reason why most of the best sanctum builds are just giga dps and like 1 hp
