City Square is hands down the best map for me. I can run this map forever and ever. Three bosses always in the same spot every time, you can either kill them immediately upon entering the map or save them for last. The whole map is always the same, no randomness, no dead ends, just absolutely the same easy predictable map every single time. Also, the map is small and fast to clear, and you can get from any point on the map to any point on the map in seconds. I scryed Defiled Cathedral to City Square and already found four Apothecaries.

Seer spawns upon killing the last monster in a certain monster pack lineage. For example, the natural mobs of a map might be skele archers, demons, heralds, goatmen. If the seer is decided to spawn upon the goatment packs, you can kill every goatmen and no other mobs in the map and you will spawn the seer. This was confirmed by GGG in their patch notes when they said that killing the last mob of a specific mob type in a map was causing the seer to randomly spawn on the location of another mob of that same pack in the map instead of on the final one. (It is good to note that this is identical to how the seer functioned in necropolis league where he would spawn on the death of the final mob for a given lineage in a map.) That said, there is no way of determining which mob the seer is rolling on or if it is rolled onto your map in the first place. I have (anecdotally) found that the seer is much more common when you do not add non-natural map inhabitants into your maps. For example, if you are running a simple shrines+beyond setup you will statistically find seer more often than if you are running legion+abyss+harby. My theory is that the seer's spawning algorithm is dependent somewhat on how many natural inhabitants there are in a map and when you add non-natural inhabitants through league mechanics, it is reducing whatever internal weighting GGG uses when determining if seer is capable of spawning in the map in the first place. With my particular pack size and go blue altar setup, I seem to get a seer on average every 7-12 maps whereas when I juice with a lot of extra league mechanics I average less than 1 in 20 maps.

Use the Shrine Method, it takes ~20 maps, just put 4 Shrine scarabs and choose Shrines on the map devices.\ Seer spawns from the last monster from a pack native to the map and Shrines adds more native packs. I cannot stress this enough, you do not need Pack Size, you need More Packs.

For fragment drops: Ziggurat is top tier Abomination and Sanctuary are middle tier. Citadel and Fortress are bottom tier. If you're buying maps and running them, probably sanctuary is the best overall value at current rates. Fortress has to be juiced for about 50c additional worth per map to beat it out.

In my personal experience, i found much more frequently the Seer using 3 shrines scarabs and domination craft on the map device. Some people says that the Seer spawn when you kill natural habitants of the map.

People need to do like at least 200-500 map tests with domination setup compared to regular alch and go, because like for me for example with this setup I get one every 50 or so but this small KZbinr said they get them one every 10 maps. There’s way too much variance to draw conclusions

10:40 To expand on WHY Abomination map is easier for Gladiators with a lot of block - players can stand in the swirling purple circles that are summoned by the bosses. Those swirls do minimal damage but provide constant small hits which trigger the "Recover X% of life on block" from the Shaper or Warlord shields that most Glads use (or high value "Recover X life when you block" shields like The Surrender). In effect it makes a high block change gladiators virtually unkillable in that fight - only a straight up "one shot" would be able to kill the character.

I think the Seer is weighted by the average value of divination cards that drop in that map. Just anecdotal evidence though. I get him in Jungle Valleys often (every 3 to 4 Maps). But getting him in Residence took 87 Maps and 76 Maps. Same Strategie (Influence Shrine and Evolution Shrine Breach Farming). It also seem to spawn more if you have more native monsters in the map. The Packsize doesn't seem to matter but the number of packs seems too. I think it works like this: pick a random native pack, for that pack count the number of packs and multiply with flat chance as well as rarity of cards that can drop in the map. Thats why Shrines and strongboxes help. Ritual works as well because it add other packs of native mobs. Maybe it rolls a chance per native monstertype. But I got no conclusive evidence.

I just wanted to farm some Underground sea maps, to scry Divine Beauty over to Jungle Valley. I only had 1 map, so started by running some Toxic severs to get some of those maps. Then I accidently opened an underground sea map, and thought oh well, ill just run this and get more maps ready. then I got the seer in that first map haha, that was hilarious. I run 8mod dunes with full map effect for harvest and run into a seer in 1/4 maps. I rarely full clear the map, usually kill some stuff on the way to the boss, go back for harvest. I roll the 8mods myself and only run 100+quant 30+packsize. I'll run the bad ones with map scarabs sometimes if I run out of maps, and there's noticeably fewer seers from these even though I'm full clearing them.

Have had good experiences with Scryingso far: did Mesa onto JV and Defiled onto Dunes. I was running Underground Sea for Zigg farm but I still scried it onto Toxic Sewer in case I wanted to blight or something. No apothecaries but lots of fortunates and divine beauties!

15:10 In my experience , what you need to find the seer ( and reflecting mist for that matter) , is large amounts of natural map monsters. Run fast maps with mechanics that multiply/ spawn extra of those. That includes shrines, strongboxes and ritual ( you don´t need to run the actual ritual but kill the mobs that spawn with the inital mechanic spawn ) . Extra juice these maps with everything that increases packsize , be it monsterous linage scarabs , map modifier effect , etc. you know the drill. Everything else seems irrelevant , so mobs spawned by altars or any other mechanics wont help.

If you like a slightly more circular map than the Jungle Valley and if you want to kill the boss then it’s also very easy to just leap slam straight across the Dunes, kill Hillock and then get non-boss altars for the rest of the map.

I found the Seer very consistently using Hunted Traitors with 8 mod delirious maps. This was getting me a seer in about 20-30% of the maps I ran on Jungle valley running Breach+Beyond+Shrines tree to level with max map effect. 2x Breach scarab, 1x Magic Monsters, 1x Hunted Traitors, 1x flex slot. Blue altars because I like them. Had a friend run some crimsons and got seer within 10 maps using the hunted traitors on rare maps.

In my experience the Seer appears way WAY less frequently on any map that has valuable cards. Took me hundreds of maps to find the seer in the ancient city (unrequited love, mirror shard card) but the seer appears VERY often in Dunes and in other crappy card maps I run.

I definitely feel this. I've been running defiled cathedrals for a full week and full clearing them and still no seer. Then I hop over to some of the other maps to farm defiled cathedrals (lucky map drop) and suddenly its one seer after another even if I don't full clear (has like 10+ mobs left).

I've been kinda unlucky this league, i found Seer maybe ~10 times and 9 times it was on a bad map(mostly guardian maps and t17). Yesterday i found him 3 times in 4 maps!(twice in a row), once on ashen woods,once on Colonade and once in mesa(finally a good one).And i've been running maybe ~100 Moon temples and some ancient city maps to find him there and 0 luck....

I'm doing shrines + ritual setup to farm maps in 8 mod maps and find the seer incredibly often. I wonder if it's spawn chance is based on the total number of natural mobs killed in the map which would be affected by pack size from juicy 8 mod maps as well. Just a theory anyway

It is correct. Its the exact same thing as last league. The shrines add more natural inhabitants so that means more chances to spawn seer.

Why is JV better than mausoleum? Does JV have more monsters or is it just the layout. I always assumed that mausoleum would have more monsters but I haven't tested it and I failed to find any data on that when I was googling around. I have a feeling I'm not going to do anything out of T17's this league but I did scry residence to mausoleum with the intent to test it out a bit also dropping sanctuary instead of abomination is a slight bonus. I guess at the end of the day as long as both of these maps exist and have similar value I can just scry one to mausoleum and the other to JV but I severely doubt my character is strong enough to deal with those 1000K div card bosses so and I'm pretty sure any other div card strategy in this state of the game is kind of questionable at best.

My experience? NAMELESS SEER sucks. I wanted ancient city mirror card to move to glacier. It took 1000 maps. But defiled took me 10map and Spider forest took me 5 map. But He shows up 10 time in 20map in MESA and taunting me Ancient city is nuiseance map. I switched to eater from searing and he popped. I do play high del maps just so he shows up. Mostly 200% qty. He like MESA

@@sirgog i had two apo in mesa but dont play much. After i moved defiled to there. both map is low qty map. i believe unique searing altar played a role.

This is how you find the *Nameless Seer* juice your map up with shrines, you will see him in under 10 maps

IIRC I got 1 from 30 max shrines maps last night. I just think the Seer is not all that rare and it's just a matter of full clearing maps fast. Normally I get about 1 per 20 maps, maybe a little more. Others report getting around 1 per 8 maps but they may take 3-4 times as long per map. One day we'll work out the exact details, but for now bascially any strat will work.

Yep, shrines add more natural inhabitants, which means you have more chances at finding seer.

I have found, no lie, at least 100 seers this league. They all offered garbage. Complete garbage.

Disagree, I'm sitting on hundreds of liquid divines and haven't done a lot of 17s. I haven't completed even halfway to the endgame grind for 17s yet.

Do I get a notification that the seer spawned? or do i need to just retrace my steps through a map, after i finished it?

Not a text notification but you will get his name on the minimap and it comes with a sound effect and him saying something. It's always happened for me while he was on-screen, never had him spawn where I wasn't. Though I also play a slow character rather than a zoomy one.
