Eliminate sounds, try other renderers, use a build that kills enemies as fast as possible so they don’t pile up, get a better pc. Kinda in that order.

While new secret anoints are exciting, I think the main reason they are doing this is that they were running out of design space for new notables on the passive tree if they want all notables to be anointable. This opens up for up to 11 more notables that they can add to the passive tree if needed since all the current secret anoints are going to use new oil combinations.

I personally do not interact with mechanics that upon failing, make you feel like you just wasted your time, because all loot got taken away, also it's just a dps check.

Skill issue not a dps check lmao you don't even have to attack ive taken a lv 60 character into a blight ravaged and did it with no skills in my links.

@@incarnationx903 I'm afraid you are too stupid to understand what a dps check is. It means that if you don't have enough dps to kill the waves of mobs fast enough you lose, like in any tower defence game, you cannot kite them or avoid mobs, spread them out in any way which make this a complete dps check. Even if you play a summoner, your summons still need to have enough dps for you to be able to stand around doing nothing.

I'm afraid you don't know what a dps check is. It means that if you character or your summons do not have enough dps to kill the oncoming monsters quickly enough you lose. There is not way to kite the mobs spread them out, avoid them (something that actually takes skill), which makes this a complete dps check.

This league will be another one where players get extreme amounts of power, just like the two before. I dont think they will nerf any of the existing anoints unless it'll make the new "secret" ones that much more disireable so that they end up being the go-to. Which will end up being a huge influx of information for GGG to help them balance what they give us in POE2

I love blight but it requires sooo much scarabs, it's almost impossible to pair with many other mechanics I hope they combine some of the scarabs Also blighted maps should either be modifiable with scarabs or take atlas into account (something like "Atlas Skill Tree Modifiers also affect this Map at 25% strenght"). They're just too weak atm, especially considering that the recent league somehow tanked the performance on them (I had no problems with having smooth framerate with absolute meteor spam in Affliction on i9-13900ks on dx12).

11.07.2024, run t1 blight map just for fun. Full HD, 75 Hz, R5-5600, RTX4070. FPS drops up to 7. Can barely move my character during encounter. Huge blight buff!

Melee phys buff, now elusive buff?? Omg, this is insane, I can't wait. Nightblade will go hard next league. I think it's a pretty substantial buff to elusive, it makes it very consistent so you can count more on it. And of course, you pair it up with evasion/supress. It's underrated imo.

Blight really needs to drop fewer blight maps (and then up their drops a bit). Like expedition where you get maybe one every other map? With blight you get 3-5maps/map which just makes them worthless and annoying to trade.

With 3 oil slots, and 13 oil types so far, an additional oil type means there will be another 78 variations with a single prismatic oil, 13 variations with 2 prismatic oils and 1 with three prismatic oils, for a total of 92 new annoints, if my math isn't wrong. Thats a lot of secret annoings, damn

You are missing 13 there. Single prismatic, but two copies of the same other oil (e.g. Prism-Opal-Opal). 78 is the number of combinations where the two oils are different. The maths works like this: it's 13x14x15/(3x2x1) before the change, 14x15x16/(3x2x1) after, so the number of new ones is 3x14x15/6 = 105.

that anoint is actually quite good for mined traps. that way you can still scale mainly with trap modifiers and can double dip Swift Assembly. one can also get in the groove of timing so that your mine auras are stacked while the cooldown trap detonates.

It only drops from Blight-Ravaged maps and even then, if you run thousands of them, the chances on acquiring one are pretty slim

Hmmm... well I suppose the point could be to just put all the ones that aren't on the tree there. In which case it'd be better for it to NOT be rare since it allows them to make some crappy notables that aren't on the tree. Well, they are prismatic... do we have confirmation that there's no RNG component to it? That'd allow them to be more common as you'd have to spam for the anoint you want which could then add up. The "crappy" ones could have 4000 weight versus 10 weight good ones or whatever.

Blight deserves a second chance in PoE2. It had too much gameplay for poe1 where everyone wanted it braindead, and tower balance is a failure. A redesign could do wonders.

I hope they make the normal oils rarer in combination with this. If the prismatic oil is even slightly valuable than the amount of people running blight goes up. Would be a shame if normal oils as then worth nothing again and you just wait for prismatic or bust.

The ability to quickly shift mechanic is a huge one. More important than how profitable something is, however, is how profitable people THINK it is. I doubt existing oil drop rates will change much.

Just checked dozens of deadeyes from week 1. Absolutely ZERO vengeant cascade anoints. ZERO. Maybe someone got to level 92 playing an out of date build guide with it, but all the 99+s were anointing an aura mod. It does nothing without Nimis or Returning Proj support, and even with one of those it's a low power anoint.

I have noticed for a while now that you started using ai images almost in every of your thumbnails and I wanted to ask if you considered the impact it has in the long run on the art community. I can totally understand that you dont have the budget to commission sth from an actual artist for every short video you put out, but the problem is very much just that. People couldnt be bothered to pay someone so they just use ai engines that were often trained on artists work without their consent. And since it's such a new technology, most jurisdiction hasnt really been able to adapt to sth that is essentially legal copyright infringement. I actually thought it was rather original to use julia sets and mandelbrot for your thumbnails, eventhough they may not portray the content as accurately as a prompt generated image can. what I am hoping is that you might try to shift back to how you made thumbnails in the past without relying on ai to get across the content.

I used to look for images that are public domain to use but I've heard too many horror stories of DMCA takedowns being filed over images that were never public domain, just wrongly listed that way. Essentially, the art was stolen but the person using it in good faith got burned, and either suffered a takedown request or (worse) legal demands to pay money from art speculators who purchased the copyright. So I stopped using anything that might be copyrightable - anything human-drawn is out. I need something that I know isn't under any copyright protections - and with current copyright laws, that basically means it has to be computer generated art, something Grinding Gear Games specifically made available, or something I generated without a computer. Such is the mess of copyright law. There's lots I don't like about AI art but copyright law makes it the only safe choice. I do ensure I never use anything that's been generated using an artist's name in prompts. I do occasionally use fractal stuff but those take an ENORMOUS amount of CPU time and electricity to render. Often 4-6 hours. Making lots of them isn't practical and is an enormous electricity guzzler, multiple kilograms of CO2 per image, way worse than AI. I've pretty much stopped making it after thinking of the CO2 levels.

They aren't common but they aren't all that rare in blight content tier 13 and up. In map Blight events that you spec into should drop them often enough to notice.

Also in juiced blight ravaged maps you’re almost guaranteed to see one every map, if not every other map. That being said, blight ravaged maps are significantly harder than regular blight encounters and you’d better have a good understanding of the mechanic and a good build.
