I'm happy you've embraced fine tuning your loot filters properly, the next level up is mastering filterblade modules. They streamline your process of making filters even more.

Glad you tried and you're enjoying SSF man. I've been playing SSF ever since it came out and I honestly can't go back to playing trade league anymore. I love the character progression, I love that you have to do most mechanics if you want to min-max your gear and I adore how you can create powerful farming strategies to attain multiple goals at the same time. Managing scarabs and investing atlas points to get specific scarabs for other long-term strategies is also very engaging. T17 maps also feel way better when they're a way to multiply the effect of your rare scarabs and a payoff in itself rather than the type of map you only run like in trade league.

Yeah it has been a crazy experience. I am so glad I did this and hope to continue down this road. The learning experience alone just makes it worth it

Hi Travic, love to see the SSF content. One little quick tip - I see you have some empty gem slots. Use them to level extra gems for your build so you can start working on 21/20 gems
@Travic_Ай бұрын
That is something I am not fully used to doing yet xD. I have since redone my gem sockets and this post reminded me to setup an offhand swap. Thank you!!

i do ssf every few leagues, and i love it. i generally have a character i want to min max, and have a few sub characters that are dedicated farmers for specific content. i usually have a delver and a bosser and a mapper on top of what every character im maxing.

Thats the best part of poe! Having a character specialized in everything. Thats cool you are able to do it in ssf. I can see future projects for myself :O!

Just ran across this video. I have been playing POE for thousands of hours, I have a multi mirror build, magebloods on 3 characters xD, Highest DPS lightning strike build using ephemeral edge of the entire league across all ascendancies. None of it feels whole thoguh so figured i would try SSF. I started my first SSF journey a few days ago and hitting red maps right now. It's absolutely life changing / game changing haha. I dont feel rushed and playing at my own pace. I appriciate every mechanic now/ every single currency orb i didnt ever use. It makes me see how whole this game really is. I'm learning expedition right now (never payed attention to it because i can just trade divines for whatever currency i need) , essence farming/ Harvest/ doing actual league mechanics, saving contracts to set up for heist/ customizing my first loot filter (when i say this i always made my own but never so advanced to see things i really want to see. everything you say in this video is 100% on point. I just subbed haha SSF is amazing. SC trade is gonna be a joke on leaguestart now.
@davidlatal4831Ай бұрын
PS: I'm doing ice nova of frostbolts my first time actually playing a templar/ heirophant so the tree everything is kinda new to me even the gear (looking for +mana items haha). The only speedbump so far was farming out labs to get my gem

It's awesome to see how hyped you are on starting a SSF journey like this because i'm just as excited and glowing of the new game i found within the game

i need to make a ssf character to finish my shipments challenge.. there's no way i will do 200k+ ores/ingots ones... that's just insane. Yet again, perfect timing, Travic :)
@Travic_Ай бұрын
Remember when it ask for 200k ore you divine that number by 5 and that’s how many bars you need to send! Since 1 bar = 5 ore

How do you normally play in soft core trade? Do you buy the fragments you need rather than farming it? Do you end up buying gear to the point you feel like you don’t need to know the boss mechanics? The way you talk about ssf vs softcore trade makes me think I’ve been trying to play ssf in softcore trade my entire 3000 hours of playing. Like craftofexile is my best friend…Don’t get me wrong I’ll buy upgrades too but I won’t pretend I don’t get smacked by Minotaur still afterwards.
@Travic_24 күн бұрын
In softcore trade it’s really interesting if I wanna go do a boss I go by the boss if I want to do the boss 100 times I go by the boss 100 times if I need materials to farm to make an item or if I need materials to do a mapping session or if I need materials. I just go buy what I need the beauty of softcore trade is that if I wanna do something instead of struggling and having to set up an hour to go do something I can just buy what I need and prep the way I wanna play The downside is you don’t learn a lot of the cool things that a lot of the SSF guys do so essentially softcore trains upside is at any given point I can practice anything I want I can craft anyway I want and I can do anything I want because I have currency and access to an infinite supply of materials The downside is you don’t learn as much. Are you learn a little bit slower compared to applying SSF you probably learn bossing a little bit better to an SSF because it forces you to apply with a certain set of gear that you don’t have access to in trade.
@ZachSpreitzer23 күн бұрын
that makes sense, but how do you make your build strong enough to make money in t16 or t17 maps if you aren’t familiar enough with item bases, crafting, etc? I imagine you’d have to hit a wall around t12 ish maps if you aren’t familiar those things? I only mention this because I feel like I struggle heavily with pushing my build past t16 content and into t17s and Ubers. Have always been able to get my build to do farming strats but never been great at learning the min maxing that takes a build to the next echelon. Trying to see if it has to do with trying to be more Ssf in a softcore environment that slows me down or if I’m bad at buying upgrades 😂

I don't know if it would be worth a video, if you go for Ubers I would be interested in how you craft the endgame gear. Ben's video was too fast to follow. I have been ssf all league and have started to level a trickster because I'm an awful player and my ice nova toon is bad T17 bosses. It's great for almost everything else :)
