PoE For Dummies: Betrayal (Jun) Simplified - Episode 2

Hello and welcome to the second video of the PoE For Dummies series! This is a new and experimental type of videos in which i try to (shortly) explain some of the PoE's mechanics in hopes that you (and I) will learn something new!
This one is a bit longer as the mechanic itself has 2 parts, all of which were covered in the video (other than the Mastermind boss, which will get its own separate video).

[One thing i haven't mentioned is the coloring in the picture. It is explained in top left, but in general, you want to get what you like the most. Green being the most valuable to red being the worst value]

Thank you so much for this. There are so many guides and walkthroughs that just don't explain it from a beginner's standpoint. It is one of the most frustrating things about this game. As much as I loved it, it is super painful and difficult to learn all these previous League mechanics

Personally, I've always enjoyed Betrayal. The reward structure is a little complicated but the Syndicate have some of the best lines in the game.

That's why it's better to learn the mechanic first, and worry about rewards later. That's how i learned, and now it's easier of course. Thanks for watching!

so the last part the crafting one can i put my own item there so it can have a veiled mod?

if your item has a veiled mod (example is doing aisling T4 as the last crafting piece), yes, you can have a veiled mod on it. My personal favorite is a bow with fractured arrows or crit as suffix, and 3xT1 elemental rolls, then you add a crafted suffix mod (prefixes cannot be changed) and slam aisling T4. That guarantees a suffix mod that you can unveil etc. Hope this answer helped!

hello here, i don't understand how to sustain jun missions. Like i have done 40 map+, just for 2 -3 jun encounter... it's always einhar, alva or niko...

Hello! You do not need to "sustain" the missions per se, you can always buy "Jun Sextants" on the market. Usually they are ~10c each and they are quite worth the effort [Here's the trade link: www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Affliction/ELeyBVVT5 ]. Keep in mind there are 3, 4 and 16 uses on sextants. Other than investing currency, you can invest into "Your maps have x% chance to grant an additional Jun mission on completion" - that is for atlas tree, the free version of course!

Elreon is never showing up on my encounters. does this mean I have to keep on releasing or bargain anyone until he shows up?

Yes! The board only has so many characters it can fit, in order to get the one you want, you have to get the bargain option to "remove X person from the encounter". Once you do that, a random one from the "bench" will come back in. In Your case, lets say Haku offers the choice to get out of the Syndicate, Elreon has a chance to pop in. Technically speaking, using only "right option" (bargain/execute) will eventually lead to "someone is getting removed from the board"
