Finally, this is the first AoE showcase that actually shows blood perforate. The thing I always wondered was if the sequential spikes would spread out, but it looks like they stay close together, which means 100% of your spikes can overlap their AoE onto the boss, and not just 50% of them. The strike range working on it was a surprise as well.

An idea for cyclone rework: make stages grant % more aoe or somehow exponential scaling but they work like trauma stacks, so people have to heavily invest into attack speed and or duration. That way using cyclone as a trigger tool doesn't unlock its full potential.

@@Neoshift yeah it still will be able to trigger, maybe leave the aoe as is for 10 aps which is the most common coc trigger rate and then they could invest into duration for more aoe that also scales with occu power charge nodes, so it's a win win. My main issue is that you just cannot scale the aoe to decent levels without sacrificing a bunch of damage and/or survivability. And it's not like the skill is fast at clearing with the movement speed penalty.

I'm a bit sad that you didn't try Vaal Ground Slam, it's already stupidly huge without any AoE investment, it'd propably have been the biggest of all the slam skills by far. Also, wouldn't Fist of War be even better for some of the other skills you tested?

I don't know if you tried it on stream and it didn't make the cut, but you should definitely try Vengeance, it still has the same old aoe scaling mechanic that cyclone did in Legion where strike range gives it BASE radius, you should be able to get absolutely unfathomable aoe on it with this setup

Well actually if we could get such AoE on melee skills without spending 10 kidneys and while still doing damage, it could enable some of them. With that being said, most of them actually needs mechanical tuning. (Rage vortex should allow more than 1 active storm for example )

Look i could be wrong but i was well and truly fully under the impression the revised cyclone skill does not take anything into account except for weapon range. Supposedly melee strike range is a completely different stat and only applies to strike esque skills. There are a few forum posts about this, could be worth looking into if it turns out you could use the extra mods and passives for more aoe
