The amount of information ive gotten from your channel is amazing! Your channel is definitely one of the main reasons ive seen the success I have when keeping tarantulas (and even my other inverts too) especially when it comes to enclosures, having a natural setup(like most of yours) looks both amazing and makes the tarantulas much more comfortable. I cant remember the last time ive had a T bolt out of an enclosure when doing maintenance, always straight into their hides/burrows. Keep up the great work dave!

When I decided to keep Tarantulas I did over a year of research. I read everything I could find, I watched your videos, and studied and studied. I wanted to be as informed as I could so that I would be responsible and confident. After over a year I knew two things for sure I wanted old world T's and I wanted my first ones to be Poecilotheria's. I bought my first one a Regalis sling and fell in love. Now after another year I have almost all of the Poeci's on my collection. I adore them and feel they are demonized a lot. Ive never had an issue with them they are sweet and Ive never gotten so much as a bolt much less a threat pose. Its sad when an energetic species gets a bad rap to me Poeci's are the best T's their are at least for me.

How are things going with your new hobby Robert W.? I ask because I've been doing the same thing for many months now; reading, researching, and watching Dave work. While I don't believe I will be getting a Pokie as my very first tarantula, they most certainly interest me as a future specimen to keep (they are magnificent). I'm glad to hear that your experience with yours has been good and shown little signs of aggression. I have yet to decide on my first spiders to keep, but I am leaning toward two different ones -- perhaps a Chromatopelma cyanopubescens (GBB) and an A. Avicularis, or maybe a larger terrestrial species such as the Flame Knee. Those pokies are beautiful though! I hope all's well with your spiders.

Used to have a male and a female, both were adults. I originally thought I had two females but the person I bought them from didn't gender them properly. I was still fresh to the experience of owning Tarantulas but I did my research on how to care for the species I've gotten, I had not planned on mating them but they were both adults and it would've been a missed opportunity I carefully have been watching videos on how to do everything right and prepare. Tragically though not long after we had a house fire disaster which lead to them parishing. It was sad because I've been taking care of them for a year in good condition and I was very excited to pair them and get little slings.

Egg with legs...I have never seen inside a spiders eggsack before but it was really interesting! Mother spider was for sure a beautiful spider. I was afraid of spiders before but i had to care for my sons pet spider Luni ( Grammostola Rosea ) and I was so afraid of her in the beginning so i hardly could watch her without having shivers down my spine and wanted to run away! I have learnt a lot since then and I really enjoyed Luni. She was a kind and curious spider 🕷 and it seemed like she love our company. She was a fuzzy eater ( but I know that that is common fact for them ) she was healthy and did well and she moulted about 3 times in our care. She was always so shiny looking afterwards. She learnt me something and today I don't scream and run away for a spider anymore. Luni lives with my son now and she must be around 20 years old. She had a owner prior to my son too. She lived through a house fire too last year in June. Ok no smoke went in to the room and we was able to get her out from our apartment the next day too. We have to run out in the middle of the night in a big hurry with our 2 cats when an arsonist but fire on the attic...it was really heartbreaking to leave Luni behind not knowing if she would survive, but she did! Thank you so very much for showing us this interesting video and I watched the one with unboxing the slings into a new enclosure too. Very nice, thank you! Hugs, Susanne.
