You should get a larger secondary box that you put the centipede container in before you open it. That way if either the roach or the centipede get out, they are still stuck in the second box

Underneath the shelf is a flat veneer. It's just a panel, remove it and you will be able to see under.. After you fix find your centipede and fix the shelf, put more silicone on the bottom to seal the gaps BTW, I ate last night's dinner leftovers as lunch today.

Just maybe put the cup into an empty aquarium/container just for shooting purposes. About 20cm tall would do since both the predator and its prey could not possibly escaped. Edit: As same size as the cockroach's one.

I love exotic lair, his videos are so interesting, he puts lots of enthusiasm into his work and you learn things along the way, I find it funny when he’d be talking about a tarantula then get distracted by telling us not to mind his foot or plate or something that are in the shot, then go back to the tarantulas. Tarantulas are one of my favourite animals so it’s good to see the care he takes and the nice enclosures he makes 😁

I would recommend you to place the centipede container inside a bigger / taller plastic container when you are feeding them. Cause just placing the main centipede container on the table..... they will likely run out just like what happened to that specific one. Or just feed it with the lid on. It's transparent anyways.

In my experience, centipedes are as likely to eat for you. Maybe it's this species that is a bit sensitive to light, thus always seeking shadows to hide? They seem highly jumpy btw. My Vietnamese giants shot around upon any slight irritation which didn't hesitate to assault anything near them. This footage actually perfectly demonstrate how agile & a skilled burrow seeker a centipede is.

Moving to new enclosures to feed can be stressful on the animal. Plus centipedes are venomous, so you do have bite risks

@@White_wolf0789 think they meant get an empty bigger container that's not scaleable place the whole smaller one inside it with the centipede and then open the lid - it's still in original enclosure just with a perspex box around it so if they bolt they can't get far

@@White_wolf0789 No. That's not what they suggested. They mean put their current enclosure in a bigger empty box or enclosure during feeding time. Not move them to the bigger enclosure altogether. So that if they escape, they're just in another box. Pretty simple.

NO WAYYY!!! Ok first, I love your videos, they are really interesting and amazing to see the many different types of creatures you have. Second, at the beginning of the video, the plate you showed, those are the same kind of plates I have at my house!! That’s amazing! And I also have waffles on those plates, sometimes pancakes! Hello! This video reminds me of the time many students and my friends keep on seeing those black centipedes, I am pretty happy that those centipedes I saw isnt like those centipedes if it was it was gonna be danger.

Question, how do you clean out your roach container? I have a lot and it takes me 3 hours to clean out. my roach cage. Yours looks so clean.. how do you sort them and get the small ones out with all those little yellow things in there?

You could try using a large medium depth tray with fluon around the edge when feeding so if the escape they won't go far.

I just had a hero with fresh mozzarella, roasted red peppers, grilled chicken, and pesto. It was delicious and I ate it while I watched you feed your centipedes. Which, btw creep me the Frick out!!!! When that bugger fell on the floor near your foot...I nearly died!!!
