Lovely! I recited this at school prize giving in the 1960s, one of my favourite poems. O'Shaughnessy was a Herpatologist and identified 3 prior unknown, species of small reptile. He wrote this when in his 20s and died aged 37. His wife died 2 yrs before and his 2 children died in infancy. There are 6 other verses to this poem ❤ XXX
