Oh cool, we usually do poetry followed by art - but after seeing this my son is keen to do poetry tea followed by art. I have a beautiful teapot that my Granny gave to me when she had to stop living on her own, I often think about all the stories and laughter that teapot has been privy to over the many many decades that it was with her, and it's been sitting on a shelf all lonely here. My mums a quilter and she recently made me a beautiful hand stitched tablecloth - and there I was thinking... Have you not noticed that I'm not a tablecloth kinda gal mother. BUT clearly the universe was setting us up for this lovely little tradition. The poetry /art books *The Lost Words, and *The Lost Spells are a simply gorgeous little global movement - they came about because a children's dictionary that's used in schools had removed 40 nature based words - and replaced them with technology based words. These beautiful books are being sent out into the world to bring nature back into children's vocabularies and lives.
