"Illusion & Dream" Look in my eyes I'll make you see We're drifting aimlessly Blind in a world of make believe Hear them sing their songs off key n' nod like they agree Buying the needs to be discreet I've got no hand in matters worldly I hardly care at all What's going on fails to concern me 'Cause I'm locked behind my wall But you know what drives me out Out of my mind oh It's whatever makes you see Makes you believe And forget about the premonition you need to conceive The images they sell are Illusion and Dream In other words dishonesty If I speak ill please, humour me Won't rant on endlessly Just thought I'd try to make you see It doesn't solve a thing to dress it, in a pretty gown A stone will not need you to guess if, you're still going to drown So you know what drives me out Out of my mind, oh It's whatever makes you see, makes you believe And forget about the premonition you need to conceive The images they sell are Illusion & Dream In other words dishonesty So can you name your demon? Understand it's scheming I raise my glass and say "Here's to you" Can you chase your demon? Or will it take your freedom? I raise my glass and say "Here's to you" I've got no hand in matters worldly I hardly care at all What's going on fails to concern me 'Cause I'm locked behind my wall But you know what drives me out Out of my mind oh It's whatever makes you see Makes you believe And forget about the premonition you need to conceive That the images they sell are Illusion and Dream In other words dishonesty So whatever makes you see Makes you believe And forget about the premonition you need to conceive The images they sell are Illusion and Dream In other words dishonesty With silence comes peace With peace comes freedom With freedom comes silence

I know I left a comment a while ago but whatever I'm going to leave another one.... He has got the most absolutely perfectly beautiful male voice. And nobody absolutely nobody can copy that. People come close sure.. but nobody will ever be where he's at. And I'd like to also point out that the electric guitar in this song speaks immense volumes just as much as the words. Just as much as the lyrics do. Poets of the Fall is one of the only bands that can literally give me goosebumps with well over half of the music that they have out. I'm so blessed to have stumbled across them in the game known as Max Payne 2, the fall of Max Payne and I have been a loyal dedicated fan ever since. And someday I will see them live. If I have to go to the other side of the planet to do it then so be it. I will see them perform live before my time on this Earth is up.

After ten years of just loving this band and everything about them, the only thing I hate about them is that they aren't more well known. I tell everyone about them and play their music all the time. They should be played here in America but sadly they don't seem to have a big enough American fanbase.

That's because Americans don't have a good taste in music. The way they snub Madonna's latest releases for the total trash of those younger vulgar artists just because she has aged, proves how pathetic they've become as far as the taste in music is concerned.

I hate to say I like them not being mainstream but when bands get big they lose something. They make awesome music and appear to be doing well. I hope they just keep doing what they are doing because it's pretty fkn good.

People who turn to pink floyd to learn philosophy should check out The Poets for the real deal. I haven’t seen a single band TILL DATE who write such philosophical and thought provoking lyrics that constantly keeps the dopamine firing in our brains for the multiple interpretations one can come up with. This song talks about the concept of Maya and what ever you see seeping you is just a dream. Life is just a ride and nothing more. This song is a true ‘sign of life’. And what a way to have it ordered right before you go and “sleep”, to wake up to a new morning, a new life.
@bullgrim7 жыл бұрын
So a teenagers band goes deeper in ten years than Pink Floyd in fourty...Dont get me wrong, I like both, but there is no colour between them. Pink Floyd is a monster.
@simbabla7 жыл бұрын
Manuel Fxcwc Please don’t get me wrong, I never dissed Floyd. It’s just that I had a spiritual awakening 2 years ago and since then I wasn’t able to listen to music that dint have a deep meaning. I am a musician and I had big bands as my inspiration. But after my awakening, I couldn’t even listen to their music for more than a minute due to the pointless chatter that was buried into good music. When I heard the POETS for the second time (after my awakening), I noticed philosophy. Marko is into eastern culture, yoga and what not, and the content to his music spoke out to me. Since then, the poets have been the only music I’m able to listen to. There are others, like illuminati Congo, truth seekah and tribe society, but they come in second. I’ve deleted most of my other music cuz it was pointless to me. I spend about an hour everyday studying and meditating on The Poets’ albums. In that context, Pink Floyd hasn’t come even close. (This is my subjective reality).
@sayankundu14927 жыл бұрын
Simran Singh Without doubt.... Hence their following are only for those spiritually awakened.... Everyone else just likes his voice or a fan of their music... But it's their lyrics that's the usp.... Which is ably amplified by their music...
@amritadam66696 жыл бұрын
Don't get me wrong, I love both Pink Floyd and poets of the fall but Pink Floyd is on a whole other level of depth , understanding and philosophy and not to mention their contribution/creation of the whole genre of psychedelic music. No matter how good you are you can never beat pink Floyd.
