Esh you are right, Hungarian people are generally close(r) to their families, even good friends and colleagues are often times considered family. There is also a strong connection with the land, the roots, the history. I am Hungarian, from Transylvania. Which is a region now part of Central and Western Romania, but it used to belong to Hungary during the Middle Ages and the reign of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy. So there is quite a large minority of Hun living here. We are tight, appreciate our traditions and culture, but are also open to the world. Which Hungary's current government is Not. I've been to The Netherlands a couple of years ago and really liked the more carefree, chill, positive vibes you guys have, it's a much stressfree-er place than Eastern Europe. I enjoyed my time there very much. Anyway, you have a new subscriber here, keep up doing the good work and reactions. P.S. As a person who works with languages, texts, subtitles a lot, I really appreciate you delving into lyrics and being curious about the lyrical message of songs. Cheers! 😊

If you are interested in something completely different from Hungary, check out the symphonic music of Havasi (Spring wind or Storm) or Kerekes Band Csango Boogie, which is folksy funky instrumental music. They are both very different.
