These Soft buns filled with cheese are very popular in Turkish cuisine. You can make them for breakfast, lunch, eat as a snack or make without cheese and serve as a bun for dinner. In this recipe I am using active dry yeast to give a soft texture to the buns and wanted to add an interesting touch by using beetroot water to give some pink color and sweetness. It is totally optional but we really liked it. I am also sharing a quick broccoli salad recipe with it as my daughter's recipe. I served these buns pogacas, broccoli salad along with apple filled cookies for an afternoon tea we had with my mom and daughter.

Ingredients For Buns Pogaca with cheese:
1 cup lukewarm water or beetroot water (cook 1-2 beetroot and use it's water)
2 tsp dry yeast
1 tbsp sugar
3/4 cup vegetable oil
3/4 cup plain yogurt
2 egg whites (keep yolks for egg wash on top)
about 4+1/2 cups or more flour (add gradually after that till you have pliable soft dough)
2 tsp salt
For the cheese filling:
about 1 cup crumbled preferable aged Turkish white cheese or try feta or similar cheeses or mix of cheeses you have left at home :)
handful of chopped parsley
