Not sure why Turkey is included within Europe as most of its land is in Asia, most of its population lives on the Asian lands and the Turkish people are from a central Asian ethnic group. Including the Ottoman Empire made sense due to it taking a large part of the Balkans and large populations of people within the European lands, but modern Turkey barely has a sliver of territory in Europe.
