Jim said he " didn't necessarily die" in that last scene, lol. He was wearing a vest, & other things " could have happened". They could have brought him back, he was willing! They were stupid & missed their chance. But in my world, others he'd helped before that who also worked for the machine came to help, saved Jim, and he went to another country with Iris to protect an important person, settled down & had 4 kids, while Shaw stayed on in New York to continue the mission. Others joined and formed groups all over the States & worked for the machine. John Reese lived happily ever after, lol.
