@schmarzech Yes a part of the antispin goes behind the shoulder too, but not the petal, cuz that points out away from you. I typically use box AS [ ] or a sideways trefoil

@BlissfulOasis Your arms should never change which one is on top. In that way it is just like turning with simple huggie crossers. It will simplify the turn if you make sure one of your antispin petals is pointing horizontally at where your cross point should be for the turn.

this is a really good tutorial ive known the split time crossers for a while but never knew what to do with them really besides under the arm crosser only took me like 20 mins to learn this ur a great teacher thanks man

@meshunderlay Well since I'm spinning clockwise w/ left arm on top, it is the same as you looking in the mirror... so as far as shoulder anatomy is concern we are doing the same move. I found this particular stacking of arms to be easier to learn at 1st. So if your strong direction is anticlockwise, left on top I'd image right on top is easier than right on top... That said, your milage may very, people don't all learn the same way, and ultimately I learned it both ways, either arm on top.

@schmarzech The antispin version I tend to do most is 4petal box AS vs inspin 1petal behind the shoulder.

@schmarzech Yeah, so far the Seattle thing does not seem to be manifesting. I was originally aiming at the 12th of May, but had to push it back... and now even the later date seems tentative. If peeps in Seattle wanna get together and list of names committed to paying for Alien workshops, and overwhelm me with demand form Seattle and the Washington area (I have a few others asking in Olympia), then maybe it will help things along.

@AlienJon I take it one side of the antispin box kind of ducks behind your shoulder? If I understand correctly, the move works by having one poi behind your shoulder when the other is extended out of the crosser position, right? And if I am correct in these so far, you could also do the same thing with a three petal AS by pointing one of the petals towards your other shoulder? (I would bug you in person, but so far the rumors of you coming to Seattle soon seem only to be rumors.)

I've been trying to figure out that hybrid crosser extension for the last week with little luck. How many petals do you go for with the antispin, and where do the beats happen? I think I could figure it out if I had any idea how that antispin worked :P

I have been trying to turn with the Antispin version for a few days. Do you have any tips on that? I start with right hand doing the antispin and left hand on bottom doing the extension/ inspin part hands going clockwise. When I turn I turn to the left I make my hands go counter clockwise and the antispin changes directions but right arm is still on top should my arms switch positions when you turn to face the other direction?

@meshunderlay If you have some basic video editing skills, you could rip this video off youtube, and use a video editing program to mirror flip it horizontally. Then I would apear to be doing exactly what you are working on!

Heya, I have a question about this maneuver. Normally when I get into a crosser, I find it easier to.. well, if I spin counterclockwise in front of me I wind up with my right arm on top in the crosser, and I'm finding it almost impossible to do this extension in that position because it's basically backwards to what your demonstrating. I can get into the move you show by doing 1 beat of a 3 beat so that my other hand is on top in the crosser. I hope that came out clearly, any suggestions?
