Canada has currency sovereignty and cannot go broke because they issues money in their own fiat currency. Taxes don't fund spending on the Federal level. Taxes delete some money from the economy at the end of the year. Notice how high the US Military budget is? In the 800 billions! You think US taxpayers are literally paying for that out of their pockets? They would have to be taxed like 200% if they had to actually afford the stupid spending. Spending can be spent in the wrong places, no doubt, like on war. But it's not your tax dollars going to it, it's new money created.
