Why stop at foriegn investment? Why should any Canadian be able to own half the neighbourhood? Prohibit owning more than 2 properties (one home and one designated recreational property). This should apply to individuals and corporations.

It's easy to answer directly when you aren't the government, where things you say actually matter and you will be held accountable for what you say. Think about it, when Polievre says something, it's taken as the position of his party. Other countries, and most of Canada don't care. But when Trudeau speaks, for now while he is Prime minister, he represents Canada. You do not want our Prime Minister potentially spouting off incorrect, poorly thought out answers on the spot when a single slip up can have ramifications for Canadian relations and Canadians themselves all around the globe.

I retired after Trudeau made it uneconomical to keep working. From his increasing every tax he could possibly raise (income tax, carbon tax, alcohol tax etc. etc. etc.) to the fact that any money I made came off my pension (which, after he taxed back my CPP and then took more off the OAP that was supposed to buttress that) and added a two year penalty for any income I brought in. When anything I earn penalizes my for two years after I earn it, I ain't working for the government.
