Poipole cannot be trade. During Alola Tour, may be Shiny Magearna will be debut, but Shiny Cosmog definitely debut during this event. Shiny Cosmog can be level two raid battle and will be standard legendary catch rate. Shiny Poipole also available in raid level two raid battle. Global release regional ultra beast. Another separated paid ticket event Halloween event Shiny Marshadow and Festival Light Shiny Zeraora. During Kalos Tour also debut shiny Zydarge 10% by level 3 legendary raid.

I'm holding off on my Ph.D Pikachu encounter just due to 'what if they make it able to be Shiny one day?'. I'd hope they'd release another method of getting it, if they do (maybe 1st place Showcase wins could guarantee an encounter?) And hot tip for people in cities, even though this makes it even MORE competitive: XXL Pokemon stay XXL after trading, but they reroll weight/height! Could be worth forging an alliance with a few other Trainers to trade all but the best 3 XXL, see if the new ones are better, and then agree to 'divide and conquer' and not fight over the same Showcase. :3
