Hi - I can't find a website for you, and i was hoping there were written instructions I could download. Your verbal instructions are very clear - I just can't hold two thoughts in my head at the same time! This is very pretty but not fussy.

beautiful clear tutorial. I went off to get the size 10/0 beads and can't get them anywhere. they all seam to be in size 11/0. If I used these how many beads less would i use. Or do you know of a uk based seller of size 10/0 delicas?

I absolutely love the beads over the bulbs. so very pretty. you don't say how long for the thread. do you tie off as you go or just one long strand. also I did one of these and my bead dress seems to big for the bulb what did I do wrong. thanks again for a great project.

size 10/0 means 10 beads per inch. 11/0 is 11 beads per inch. It's not that much of a difference. The desgin is planned around the smaller 10/0 beads. If all you have is 11/0 that's ok. Make the ornament as is, up to and including the green row. The section you'd probably have to change is the clear bead rows. 11/0 beads are smaller so your finished flower will be slightly smaller. So you'll probably have to increase the number of clear beads you use when connecting the ornament

Can you join the sides with a larger oval red or green crystal bead? If so do you just adjust the amount of crystal beads from 12 to something less?

Yes!! Measure your oval bead/crystal against the seed beads. If it's the pattern calls for 20 seed beads, and your oval bead is the same length as 5 seed beads, then you will need 4 oval beads to make the length of 20 seed beads. You can do this with any beads. Does this make sense? :) sorry for the delay in responding

Sorry for the late reply! You can do any bead you want. I would make the 2 units just like I do in the video. Then when it says to sew them together using clear beads, you would use your beads. To figure this out. I would take a separate piece of thread just to thread on 12 beads that are size 10 and measure them. Do the same to your oval bead. You want to see how many oval it takes to make the same length of other beads. For example if the seed beads total 2 inches, and it takes 6 oval to make 2 inches. Then there's your starting reference. You can use any bead size or shape as long as the length matches. For the centre bead where the netting meets and connects the clear beads you can use an oval bead, but it will loose the angular look and take on a more rounded look. If you want to keep the angular look then I would keep the centre a seed bead. For example the pattern calls for 25 seed beads, you would do 5 oval, 1 seed, 5 oval (you'll have to do the math for your right amount of ovals)

Delicas have more of a square look to them and their not rounded. They would work.
