Here is another from Mrs. CtrlAultDelTutorials. In this video we look at using Maya's Point Constraint. The Point Constraint is useful for making character rigs hold and release objects. The object they are holding will become constrained to another object so when the "parent" object is moved the constrained object moves with it.

Thank you! I would love to share the files if I had them. Unfortunately, my hard drive failed and I lost a lot of files. I might suggest searching for free Maya rigs. There are some great ones online that should work for this demonstration.

how do you keep one side restrain and the other side of the to move up and down, it is the same object

awesome video. Is there a way to do this with two separate sets of locators constrained to one object i.e. two hands holding a box?

very good tuto, but I put a checker surface on the sphere and the locator turns when the hand turns but not the sphere: any solution? thanx! :-)

The outliner is a great way.

You can just manually do it. But this way make it easier
