The video is very interesting. At minute 3:45 I can observe that when the rocks fall into the plastic vessel, the signal is not interrupted, until the rock pile is stable. Moving particles do not create a switching signal. Is that correct?

Thanks for your question! The microwave barrier in this demo was parametrized with low sensitivity and a long integration time so that it only switches when the pile of stones is so high so that it is blocking the complete signal for at least one second between sender and receiver unit. Single stones falling down through the barrier do not cause a switching signal as they only absorb a small part of the microwave energy for a very short time. That way we can detect if the vessel is full while it is filled up.

For sticky solid material which one recomended between vibration or capacitive one ?

Thanks for your question. For sticky materials we recommend to use capacitive probes as they work even with strong buildup at the probe.
