David Boyle uses lenses to heat steel pipes with sea water flowing through, he collects the energy from the expansion and contraction of the pipes and then uses the steam to turn a generator ! You should address how a stronger magnet has a smaller spacial magnetic field footprint but the magnet can effect other magnets from a farther distance. That really is the key to understanding gravity and point source energy.

Could we say that eliminating noise and simplifying your stuff even more to a point source by using a magnetic model (why movies are so popular.. hehe) since humans think in pictures. Words are noise (but necessary) and a model helps amplify. Had a great time on the water today fishing , noticed to show the vortices like a paddle in the water. As you take up the space in the water the vortex is formed on both sides of the plane of inertia (paddle) until it has run back into itself. Was fun to see it. Thank you, inspiring thoughts. The light intensity distribution from an LED matches what you describe here so I see what you mean in that regard. However, what gets imaged onto the retina is the luminance of the source itself - and that is a fairly homogeneous rectangle, not a point. I guess that this is not the case with magnets (or can we recover the shape of the magnet from the field?)

For 20 years I have been saying that space doesn't move and you don't need a rocket to travel from A to B. If Earth is almost in front of the suns trajectory in space and Jupiter is behind Earth. If you flip the switch you would become stationary in space and Jupiter will catch up to your place in space. Massive calculations would be necessary of course and you can't travel back until the planets positions are reversed. But you will not need massive amounts of fuel and the size of the containment field is the only thing that limits the mass you can decelerate. If an alien species has this technology it could explain why they don't visit often because when travelling this way between stars it's basically a one way trip because it takes ages for the stars to flip positions so you could travel back. If aliens came here lets say 10000 years ago and they were fewer then 2000 individuals they would inevitably go extinct by inbreeding. They would send another crew to check progress and replenish DNA when the star are right, but when! One more thing, the first experiment would have to last just a fraction of a second to establish direction and speed of the solar system versus dead in space. Because one second most likely would mean a larger distance then the circumference of the earth traveled. And the experience could only be made in high altitude in front of earth, offset of it's trajectory or you might end up inside Earth. The poles could be used as bases for 24H launch service. Any other place would create small windows of time for operations. That leaves only the south pole and maybe this is the reason there is bases there. I can't see any other reason to place a base exactly there.
