I like the edgy eq curves. That's how we did it in the very beginning, when there were not so many other options. You can sculpture an entire dance track alone with such curves. You don't even need any distortion plugins, when you make deep and narrow cuts into them.

Any chance we can get some hip hop drums tips? I feel like hip hop is never really touched on and the drums in hip hop have to be so much bigger than EDM a lot of the time. So some tips on how to achieve that would be awesome! thanks for the consideration.

Point Blank Music School No doubt these technique can be applied and I have used lots of these with varying degrees of success. I still can't get my kicks to knock like I would want them to on a regular basis. On top of this, I often hear hip hop producers talk about layer kicks and snares etc tpp which doesn't seem to be talked about too often at PB. Thanks again.

Everyone just buy f9 audios paralell processing suite for ableton and thats it job done. No external plug ins needed to get your drums sounding big

I know where my problem is on mixing my productions, I can mix everything to sound pretty professional with I'm working with short kicks aka hp filtering more everything but when it's time to add the low frequencies like at 150-0 It starts to get pretty muddy, any advice?
