Alot of people dont know regent park was the first real housing project, it wasent in the u.s it was in Canada. The Americans used it as a model for social housing projects later. Not comparing the violence and crime rates, im just sayig the idea of lumping poor people into one area on purpose (funded by the goverment) was created in the 30s in Toronto Ontario. The point of this video is not to see whos hood is craziest, the point is to show that buy just tearing down a physical building and replacing it dose not tear down the socio economic problems that are the real reason behind poverty in the firsts place. It also shows how not much has changed in the end, thats why theres clips from the 30s 60s 70s and today showing people doing the same shit in the same place, the change is cosmetic on the outside to make outsiders happy thinking theres change because a new building looks nice, but the root cause stays same and has gotten worse.

TheRadboy84 regent was built in the early 40s my bad, still i guess my point is Americans tend to not realize how long we have also had projects and shit, they think its all middle class people living in igloos or someshit.

Someone else alluded to this, but I think it's worth repeating, people should check out that documentary INVISIBLE CITY, from 2009, that follows the life of Canadian teens living in Regent Park during their final years of High School. The reason I'm mentioning this is because this song was in the end credits, which was actually a perfect companion and anthem to the doc.
