@@davitschi7714 I played MM3D a couple weeks ago and am in the middle of playing OG MM now. The only things I really enjoy better in OG are the better Deku scrub mechanics and Zora swimming. The graphics are not very good and the fact that it runs inconsistently at 20 FPS is a little on the irritating side. I definitely prefer MM3D as well.

That wasn't something the 3DS version changed, even on N64 it'd give you 5 minutes regardless of when you got there. (That way if you try using the incomplete Oath to Order you'll still have a minute or so left when it's done.)

@@bugcatcherjacky1334 That's easy once you play the same sections over and over again but for new players, specially in the temples, thus game can be very stressful. In the N64 the Great Bay was a nightmare for me because of this the first time. In the 3DS version, some sections in the Great Bay Temple were clearly removed and made way easier. There are other details I don't like too regarding the 3DS version but overall I'm fine with it.

In the Manga, Majora´s Mask is made out of the shell of a man-eating monster which was killed by Link´s ancestor. It´s a bad and dangerous mask because all of the people´s negative emotions who have been eaten have been absorbed by the shell c: Pretty cool story and very nice to read, highly recommend it.

@@shimshawcreamtime2845 the controls are different in some aspects, most notably the swimming while wearing the Zora mask. In the original you can just swim away like a dolphin, no magic required, it’s just glorious. Also the Deku moves are a bit awkward in the remake. The ice arrows will only freeze specific glowing spots in the water as opposed to the original where it would froze the water whereas you’d shot it. That just gives away the answer to some puzzles in Great Bay Temple because the paths are clearly marked. Aside from the controls they’ve also changed some things around supposedly to make it more intuitive (I’d say easy) for the player, like the guard wearing the Stone Mask being inside the Pirate's Fortress instead of on the way to Ikana Canyon. The Bomber's Notebook has a lot more entries than the original, which I personally don’t like. It shows up too much. The saving system is a bit different to, much more forgiving, which I think takes away from the experience of having to actually go through the three days or just go back to the first. Same for the Song of Double Time: in the original it would make you jump ahead in time 6h, in the 3DS version you can select the exactly time you want to jump too - again, too easy. Finally the boss fights: they are almost completely different from the original, I’m not really sure what tô think about the changes made to the first and third bosses but the second and fourth are a disgrace compared to their N64 counterparts. I guess Nintendo wanted to make the game more accessible to a new generation given the whole three-day cycle mechanic and saving system was a bit hard to get used to, but in my opinion they’ve gone to far with it and dumbed the game down more than necessary.

New Zora controls are so bad and the ice arrow thing really sucks. I like the alternate way you can defeat bosses now, but it gets too easy except the twinmold fight where you have to beat the shit out of him in one turn bevor he dives and resets his health. Who thought this was a good idea? =/ But anyways, I was waiting so damn long for a good remake of this game and I really love it.

If you ever wanted, there was a fan mod of Majora's Mask 3DS to change back the more contested changes to the remake. Apparently while Majora's Mask was a cult classic Shigeru Miyamoto actually didn't like it. He actually thought the game had archaic style design, a bit heavy on story, and a bit too free in boss fights without obvious scripting. Because of this they made many changes to the 3DS version fans didn't like along with the objectively good ones. The main changes people didn't like about the remake are that the reverse song of time only slows time by 50% where it used to be 75%, the Zora is now slow at swimming by default, the deku scrub camera now defaults to looking down where before that was reserved for when holding a button, the deku scrub dash is now far slower making platforming much harder, they changed the layout of the main clocktown center area, and the bosses are far less free to fight being much more linear in how to fight them and all now have distinct weak points where before only one of them did. That's not to say the remake is totally bad though, there are some objectively better things. The game now runs at 30fps not 20fps, the bombers guide is a lot more distinct for guidance, the song of double time can go by the hour instead of beginning of day or night exclusively, saving is improved, and camera controls if you had the New 3DS (though if you didn't of course it was the same). The fan patch was made to make the game have the best of both as much as possible.

@@mona-ex1yu do you want to play original n64 or 3D? If n64 you can't go wrong with Project64. If you want to play 3D then I would recommend the Citra 3ds emulator. I was able to play mm 3d on my shitty laptop which surprised me a lot.

Not true. You could still use temporary saves with the owl statues.

The game CLOSES after you save. So no save scumming.. you save when you wanna quit playing, nothing more. There was no real safety or insurance with saving on n64. Especially if something happened when you got back on. You were only really safe after a three day cycle. The dawn of the first day was a true save.
