This reviewer was definitely paid to do this video. And “reviews” like these are exactly why I don’t trust Amazon as much as I did 10 years ago.
@PonderingStudent3 жыл бұрын
Even when the reviews on a product haven't been manipulated, the reasons people bother to leave a review in the first place result in a really skewed picture. You end up with half the reviews saying "yes, this is amazing, best product for the job ever!!", and the other half saying "this is a terrible product, don't touch it with a bargepole." Understandably, people rarely bother to go online and leave a review saying "yeah, product's OK, does the job," they record when they've had a particularly good or bad experience. But that doesn't really help when judging what to actually buy for yourself.
@new0news3 жыл бұрын
YES! and on top of that I have tried to leave bad reviews on these "5 star" products because the item was packaged damaged and didn't come with all the pieces and I was told you aren't allowed to comment on things like that and my review was deleted! They said I can only leave a review for the seller with those types of comments. So I asked where do I see the review scores of the sellers then so I know what they are like before I buy a product............ guess what....... you cant. I basically don't order from Amazon at all anymore unless I know the product or brand well before I buy it.

I bought a bunch of these for party decorations. My cousin is a ballerina, she wanted her quinceañera to be ballet themed, so we got a bunch of these and decorated them with rhinestones, glitter and little fabric flowers. To ensure no one tried to dance in these abominations we filled the box with insulation foam, and then put them in the middle of natural flower arrangements as centerpieces, hung a few on the walls with ballons and all that. They looked gorgeous TBH. Grandma helped with the rhinestones.

I have had similar concerns as a Wilderness First Responder when reading reviews about products that claim to suck the venom out of snake bites (Sawyer extractor etc), since those products do not work and could mean someone does not seek proper treatment for a snakebite. Her mom bought her a pair of classic slippers, and this little girl threw a fit until Mom got her "the real ones." (They were similar "quality" as the ones in this video.) The best I could do was ask her to wait until she goes to her first class before she tries using them. I really hope that teacher set her straight. I also emailed Mom to express my absolute terror.

Edit: Josephine - you asked what they were made of... they looked to be made of a traditional canvas and paste but that paste had to have been made of concrete cos there's no give to the box or shank.
