So you basically make an artificial taper by using a toe cushion that's too large.. Interesting! I generally don't like bulky padding, but this looks just thin enough to work without getting in the way😊

The idea is that the cushion you create slopes up the sides so the inside of the shoe is rounded, rather than a blunt edge (if the shoe is squared off). The foam insoles are pretty thin and they tamp down well. Let me know if you try it and if it works for you.

@@DancewithmaryNYC I will! My big toe starts to hurt when my box (wings, more specifically) starts to break down. Big toe pain is usually my cue to buy new shoes (especially since your shank tack hack), so if this works, I'll be a very happy dancer! (and if not, it was super cheap and easy to try)

@@DancewithmaryNYC I'm sorry, I don't think I can come back to you with an answer soon. I can't find those foam insoles anymore, all stores around me have swithed to the fancy, thick, mixed material insoles that are useless for diy projects🙄 but if I find the foam ones, I'll come back and update!
