In this Life Goes On guitar lesson video, I will show you how to play this great song by Poison note-for-note.
The tuning is Eb standard tuning. That is, starting from the 6th string, Eb Ab Db Gb Bb Eb. Or, if your tuner displays sharps for the chromatic notes, those notes will be D# G# C# F# A# D#.
"Life Goes On" contains some of the C.C. Deville's greatest guitar work. The guitar solo in "Life Goes On" is simply extrodinary in every way. Highly musical, technically demanding and original.
I will not only cover that solo in its entirety, but I will also cover every section of the song in the order that each appears on the original recording.

I honestly do believe the solo in this song is CC's best work ever. I remember reading somewhere years ago-- and I'm not sure if this is completely true-- but at the time they were recording this song, he was going through a bad breakup. He went in and recorded this solo, completely improvised-- in one take. Now, that could also be a load of BS, but it sounds good.

C.C. DeVille writes some of the most iconic solos out there. The energy always matches the song, they always feel accessible, and they are all fun to play on the steering wheel of my truck while I'm driving down the freeway (like all the best solos do). The list is long, with Nothing But a Good Time at the top. But this and Fallen Angel are right behind. And you nail it. Awesome lesson.

Hey man, I love the tutorials, your the first place I go when trying to learn something as I believe you try to make it as close to the original as possible. I doubt you'll see this but can you please do a full tutorial l on I won't see you tonight part 1 by Avenged Sevenfold, it's my favorite song by them and I've been trying to learn it for weeks now but everywhere I look it never sounds right or it's hard to follow. And it's a little too complicated for me to figure out by ear. So if you did make a video on this song I'd be super happy, Thanks man.
