It was the special because my bf at the time made a mix tape of that version, but mick cannot carry what it truly needed. Paul can sing the hell out of it , he is the missing ingredient for after lights to shine. This version is softer, it doesnt have that squealing guitar part but paul just uses his vocal to give the piece that added fire. He is unmatched. What an unbelievable talent he has. He will always be the voice of bc for me. He has aged well, still sexy as hell too. Love paul💟💟💟💟💟💟🌹🌹🌹

@@joe22589 Actually I do know many blues and jazz singers from the forties, and I love them very much. As a matter of fact I do enjoy all kinds of music from all over the world, old and new, as long as it is good to my ears. I have no idea how someone underrates a musician they don't even know, but obviously right up there we have someone who thinks Paul Rogers is an underrated singer and I believe anyone who really know Paul Rogers would know he was a very famous and admired singer back in the day so here we have, to our surprise, someone who thinks a singer is underrated even when he/she barely knows the musician! So if you have a problem with someone who underrates a singer he/she doesn't know, just go ahead and bitch to the one up there, not to me. Originally done with a much baluster approach it was much more guitar heavy was bass I think. Here it is slowed down considerably which showcases Roger's talents well. He gives it the power it needs to soar. Truly a remarkable front man with the scorching vocal range to take bc to the top. 40 plus years still going strong. Roger's has always been in my eyes one of the most powerful soulful sexiest frontmen of the 1970s. Truly a legend❤

Man, rock n roll. When I was about 8 or 9 living on a poor but very peaceful and lovely island in south Vietnam,(early 70s and the American soldiers were there already I remember) mom out of the blues bought me this T-shirt. It had the picture of 4 white men with extremely long hair. I didn't know who they were or what it was. I just loved it. Then in 1980, I went to St John's NFLD, also an island in the east coast of Canada. One day I happened to be in a music store going through the albums looking for some good music to buy. That same picture showed up, my God. It was the Beatles. I bought the album without even thinking. Brought it home and listened to it. Then the song called Let It Be popped up. Oh man, was it ever good. I got addicted to rock n roll since that moment. Then it was time for high school. I became friends with a couple guys. You know how the magic shrooms grow wild in NFLD. After class we just headed straight to the field and picked the goodies . Man, it was magic for sure. We stayed inside, listened to Floyd, Stones , Thin Lizzy, Bad company, Santana and of course, the Beatles. Music was so great and meaningful back then. Today, I can't even listen to any of the new music for 3 minutes . you can say I'm old fashioned and stuck with the past but heh it's the most beautiful past I've ever had in my life. Keep on rocking my idols. I love you all.

It was the pioneers from the late 60's that set the stage for the 70's style music, the guitarist like Clapton when he was with Cream, Muddy Waters and the Rolling Stones.

A Rock&Roll Hall of Fame without Paul Rodgers is a sad, sick joke. They don't call him "The Voice" for no reason.
@trish55156 жыл бұрын
Totally agree. Whoever are the powers to be that decide who goes into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame seriously f........cked up. This guy has the best voice in the industry, and he has a great stage presence, and he still looks good. Fit and body in good condition.

The R&R Hall of Fame is in Cleveland OH, What the hell ever come out of Cleveland for Rock? not much! and Paul Rodgers was voted the "Best" rock singer long before the R&R HoF was even a concept

I ignore the Hall of Fame. Many who are in the HOF shouldn't be and those who should be are ignored. It isn't always my personal preference either,, some bands/performers I personally dislike should be included, their talent is phenomenal but I am not a fan. I have always loved Bad Co. Though

Mick Ralphs is also a very underrated guitarist. He never sought the glory, and wrote songs to make it easy for his band mates to play, and changed keys so Paul could sing within his range. Very unselfish player and person.

I have heard this song so many times, but I can’t get enough of it. I better live to see Bad Company get in the Hall Of Fame. Paul Rogers should get in on his own. I’m sitting here writing this comment, as I weep. Thank you for your music,
