Can you access the camera remotely when using local storage? Can you view the camera or see the video clips when away from home?

Yep you can as long as your home WiFi is working, you can access it anywhere in the world.

Which one would you recommend. The Aosu SolarCam P1 Max or EufyCam S3 Pro?

I'd go with the EufyCam S3 Pro because you can also hard-wire it by USB C cable to enable 24/7 recordings so you never miss any action while keeping it topped up all the time.

Yep, it is subscription free and I'm using it that way currently. The monthly cloud plan that they advertise is completely optional, all you have to do is insert your own microSD card for recordings to use it without any recurring fees.

Not good, poor resolution at night, battery drains quickly, solar only moderate, there are equally good or better products for less money, and they are declining

My battery is draining, but only because it's Winter where I am with mostly overcast skies and cold, windy days with negative temperatures, but when I reviewed the P1 SE system before Winter, which is almost the same, I had excellent battery life. What's the temperature and sun like where you're at?
