Nuzlocke rules:
Fainted Pokemon must be permanently boxed
Only the first encounter on any given route may be caught (dupes clause)
All pokemon must be nicknamed
Hardcore Rules:
Always Set mode
No items from the bag option in battle (held items are ok)
No overleveling the next gym leader

Something all the more terrifying about the battle with Archie's Archeops is that since abilities are randomized, that thing didn't have Defeatist. That was an un-nerfed Archeops that could've done numbers to you.

Thought the abilities were randomised so archeops’ ability might not have been defeatist, you were able to outspeed because of the rock-tomb

@@fletch2772 The Pokemon keeps their own HP stat when they transform, so it is still optimal to evolve the Oshawatt (difference of 55 base hp to 90); it's not that big a deal at the end of the day though and having the Oshawatt is more fun.

I did an Omega Ruby Randomizer Nuzlocke not too long ago and I got a Mega Scizor as well but it didn't have Marvel Scale like yours did. It had Flash Fire, getting rid of its one and only weakness to Fire! It must've been a good omen for my run since that Nuzlocke I did ended up being my first deathless Nuzlocke ever!

I once had guts Swellow on a Emerald randomizer, with a choice band, Facade and some coverage it would totally ravage through the elite four Sometimes you get total thrash, sometimes some amazing pokemon like your Scizor!

The double battle idea is a great suggestion! I think it would be cooler in the newer games where theres more abilities and coverage moves to make double battles interesting.

For the love of Arceus, pleeeeeaaaaase do a Double Battle run. That would be SO interesting to see! I also gotta say, I enjoy seeing your runs with less preparation. While it's great to see a perfectly calculated run, the tension of you potentialy getting absolutely bodied at the next corner just adds that much more fun to the experience. A full doubles nuzlocke would be amazing! The thing that popped into my mind was the idea of all encounter being doubles, too, but you have to catch the *pair,* and they stay together, whether in the party or the PC. However, if one of them dies, it's now solo, and would need to be paired with another pokemon with a dead partner to fill the empty slot. Possibly overcomplicates things, but it's an idea! :D

Not sure if it’s just the way my friends and I play Alpha Sapphire Nuzlocke but at route 104 you technically encounter 2 Pokémon due to the fact that Petalburg Woods only separates the route, so encountering one before the woods and after the woods means you’ll have two Pokémon encountered on route 104 if you check their summary. Maybe this is just how we play and everyone else counts it as two separate routes but just wanted your opinion. Great video though
