Can I beat a Pokemon Randomizer Hardcore Nuzlocke challenge in Sword and Shield using only random pokemon?
Nuzlocke rules:
Fainted Pokemon must be permanently boxed
Only the first encounter on any given route may be caught (dupes clause)
All pokemon must be nicknamed
Hardcore Rules:
Always Set mode
No items from the bag option in battle (held items are ok)
No overleveling the next gym leader

It seems like every randomizer I have to witness some of my all time favorite Pokémon get used as fodder but that's how the cookie crumbles sometimes, and every randomizer I always wonder "which mon is going to have Huge Power this time".

It's called hacking the game instead of randominzing it for content. Notice how every pokemon he caught and most legendaris got a useful abilities (and the legendaries in the gymleaders' teams clearly not randomized but thoughtfully placed, like the kyogre+drizzle thundurus lead against Raihan)

@@nerdyfalco408 clearly there is some level of control, like he probably does multiple randomize runs before he finds one he wants to upload. If you have a job to create content and the first 5 runs you do nothing interesting happens then of course you're not going to upload it. I'm beyond the point of thinking every video posted has no level of preparation or influence from the creator.

@@nerdyfalco408 it's still a randomizer, selecting a certain seed that has a higher chance of getting certain abilities makes it more interesting. You seem to be stuck on the literal definition of a randomizer, which requires you to hack the game to complete and set up a bunch of settings, by this logic, him adding that gym leaders have fully evolved Pokemon and legends is "not a RANDOMIZER. Bruv it's for the content and makes the video fun to watch.

I'm glad marshadow just went for role play because it's signature move allows it to steal boosts and deal damage at the same time. Great video by the way

13:16 i think what happened was that marshadow used role play and then the ai saw you had iron barbs so it doesnt use contact moves to avoid taking damage from iron barbs but the only other moves it has are contact moves so it just uses role play again

In thinking about how power creep has affected the competitive game over the years, I wonder if previous generations of pokemon could last in a Nuzlocke from a later gen. Like, a run of Sapphire where you only use gen one mons with their generation specific movesets, abilities, types, and stats, while everyone else in the game uses their regular Sapphire teams.

Marshadow is actually a terrifying Pokémon to face if it could steal your sceptile boosts with spectral thief. it's just it's level ain't high enough and the galar AI is just weird

It's just that Pokemon AI is brain dead. See it for yourself in scarlet and violet. In the Academy ace tournament, on the 2nd turn, Salvator's Honchcrow goes into the weird cycle of wasting his Sucker Punch PP.

Playing around potential sturdy with fake out is not only useless but counter productive because of inner focus and steadfast. You're risking two abilities against one, so while it seems cool and big brain when you get it, you're just playing with fire. Unless you hacked the game instead of randomizing it to give certain pokemon certain abilities to make them more funny or viable ;)))))
