I figure that in a hour of this announcement, there are 10,000 videos on KZbin featuring new Mega designs, lists of Must Mega lists, hundreds devoted to Flygon alone, maybe Dragonite, speculation on Charizard Z, on top of all the existing videos...with the return of Megas, we are about to begin a golden age of Mega fantasies and wishlists.

WAIT, lore theory. The end of the beginning quote used in the stream made me think of something. Zygarde is the very last pokemon in the pokedex if you sort it by letters. And Zygarde’s lore is that it comes forth if the balance of nature is disrupted. Put it all together: The war 3000 years ago Paldea right next to Kalos’ borders in the south-west Area Zero and all the paradox pokemon All the hexagons surround Zygarde, AZ, Dymamax dens, the G-max mushrooms Holy crap the lore of Legends Z-A is gonna be nuts What if Kalos and Paldea was one region at some point (of course named Kalos), and the ultimate weapon used to end the war 3000 years ago, hit in where its now Paldea, created area zero. And what if (i’m assuming the blast from the weapon was radioactive) the deepest part of the crater is where the paradox pokemon come from along with the rarest crystals, those were used to make the tera orbs. The infinity energy flowed into the earth allowing it to create mega stones from the 3000 years of geological evolution, While the blast radius affected the vegetation of the surroundings creating the dens and mushrooms. And in the backstory of AZ the result of the ultimate weapon’s firing left the battlefield a wasteland, so the biggest theory of all, what if the blast from the Ultimate weapon, along with everything else, gave birth to Zygarde Idk why i decided to get lost in my excitement for this game😅

Pokemon Legends ZA seems like a good choice to proceed. With the sucess Nintendo had with Legends Arceus it might work. Now lets see if they dont screw this over like the SV or else their reputation and fans will drop like a anvil

And Absol is back~! X was my very first Pokémon game with my Absol being integral to my team. I wasn’t happy it was excluded from ScVi but it’s back! Kalos holds so many memories for me, it’ll be awesome to walk its capital city again with an Absol at my side

We're finally getting Megas back in the form of we're FINALLY GETTING POKEMON Z!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Albeit it's interesting that it's in the form of a Legends game; and interesting theories that are forming are possibly either taking place in the era of AZ's time when he was king/the warring Kalos period OR due to despite being a Legends game but we have Cities & with the wording of Redevelopment Plans & the art maybe Z-A might take place in the future!!!!!!!

One of the good theories ive heard and added to is that this takes place post ultimate weapon ae Kalos is trying to rebuild and move on from its past. I think it would be super cool if we're like a mayors assistant or something who helps around the city in the rebuilding of everything

I don't think PLZA is gonna be in the future, given the architecture is all very traditional French style, but I am extremely excited to see them (hopefully) tie the lore together

If it's in the past then it completely changes the timeline for PLA. People say PLA is set in the 1800's but the pokeball had just been invented and there's no way European regions were more advanced in that time period considering Laventon is from Galar. This shows people being very adept trainers and almost everyone has a pokemon. So if this is set in the French revolutionary period, PLA would have to be way in the past. I always thought the "PLA is the 1800's" was way off but no one seemed to agree with me on that one.

I'm honestly so confused how people think this is a future-game. Not only is there no reason to think so based on this trailer, its literally the urban redevelopment of Lumiose, before it happened. It's literally 1:1 the Haussmann renovation of 1800s Paris in Pokémon 😅

Idk who says PLA plays in the 1800s but thats an interesting conclusion.. its Feudal Japan themed, which is the period between 1100 and 1600. Besides, in no way would this translate 1:1 in the Pokemon world. Besides, Kalos was destroyed in a war which happened atleast 3000 years before the main events of the XY game, so it'd be odd saying European Pokemon regions would be less developed when they could build a super weapon and wage war with Pokemon on a large scale like that when in Hisui/Sinnoh they'd still be scared shitless centuries later. @EricBurns1

I do think this is going to be predominately a past game the urban redevelopment plan and following imagery could be a past "vision" of the future of Lumiose that we know of today. To me it seems it ends with a blueprint of the future city fading to a drawing. Still what ever it turns out to be I am looking forward to it. :)

What if...... This was an alternative timeline where team flare succeeded. Lysandre wanted to make a "perfect" world, and redeveloping Lumeos city after the weapon firing would make sense. Plus, Zygarde being involved to restore order after the event would be an interesting plot line, making it an antagonist at first

I literally started playing X again, shiny hunting the starters and getting Fennekin after only a few hours, the weekend before this pokemon presents!!

Starter wise I'd want Totodile (want a Feraligatr Alt Evo with strong jaws ability focusing on physical attack), Snivy (make serperior get grass dragon typing that focuses on special atk) and litten (4 legged incineroar that focuses on speed)

I think it will have you going between the future and the past to explore how Lumiose develops. I also think it will be set within the city and different pokemon will only be able to be caught at different times throughout development.

Since PLZA is still Gen 9, there may be some links back to Paldea, specifically Terapagos. Since it can use its powers to bring paradox pokemon from other dimensions, whose to say that it can't be the source of Mega evolution? I mean we got Iron Valiant and Roaring Moon that looks similar to their Mega counterparts, so maybe Terapagos can evoke energy from other dimensions to help Pokémon Mega evolve. Maybe the little turtle might make a cameo in PLZA.

I'm super happy. Were finally getting Pokémon Z after so many years. And it may be for Switch 2 since its 2025. It's a good thing they are skipping a whole year and actually listening to fans and taking their time. This has potential to be amazing. Oh, and I'm hyped for new Kalosian forms and new MEGAS!!!! And for clarification, this game is a Legends game, so it is NOT in the future like many people have been speculating, it takes place in the past 3000 years ago during/ after the Great Pokémon war that destroyed Lumiose City, that's why they are Re-developing it again with the redevelopment plan. Plus, the name makes sense. Its Z-A because of the character AZ from X and Y.

Z-A is the alphabet backwards, but also AZ backwards, and AZ is from the past, the backwards or opposite of the past is the future, so i reckon it will be in the future

From what people are saying it's like Zeda, which is translated into Pokemon Z from Japanese. Very excited to see what is store! And since it says it's an Urban Redevelopment people are spelcating that we're making Lumiose into what it is today. My one hope is that we can heavily costume our character. I wasn't a big fan of Serena or Calem.

My theory is that the game is set in the future, and the Lumios City "Redevelopment Plan" is a cover up. The zoom out of the city with the PRISM, tower, being VERY illuminated, makes me think that maybe someone with authority is taking Lysander's (I can't spell if I spelt that wrong) or AZ's original plan from X&Y, and are upscaling it MASSIVELY to make the entirety of Lumios City into a super weapon. Maybe like what AZ made but making the Prism tower into the weapon instead, being much bigger, and much stronger. What do you think?

Lumiose city looks like a shell teasing probably the guardian of Lumiose city which is call Azgard in my prediction , and it make sense since Z stands for sugared and azgarde is like the opposite of zygarde is azgarde ( This is just my theory don’t take this theory seriously )

Legends Arceus was the most fun pokemon game to come out in 20 years. I hope they lean into the boss fights and direct interaction with wild pokemon more. Playing SV after Arceus felt like a massive downgrade
