Pokémon Black Any% Speedrun in

Same story as my previous PB, an exceptional run with a horrendous ending. Happy with this for now though, this would be a tough run to beat. Mostly happy I got a run in with all the latest strats (yay for Plasma Skip!).

Its a real shame oshawott's final evo sucks so bad. Honestly osha and dewott are two really great starters. Dewott might be one of the best middle stages and then samurott comes in and fails the whole line spectacularly

A tool-assisted speedrun done by CasualPokePlayer recently dropped Lillipup for Woobat after the third battle with Cheren by getting it in the cave in which you have 2 battles with one joining forces with Cheren. He reasoned that Woobat has the better movepool by leveling up and that includes its dual STAB moves, and that it alters the AI for certain trainers into not using Fake Out by using Psychic moves. I wonder if that information is helpful for the speedrun community.

I honestly hated 6 even though I grew up with it. ORAS is good and I genuinely like 7. 8 was depressingly bad, especially the DLC, and 9 wasn’t that much better. PLA was fun but looked terrible.

Yes. From what I’ve heard, RNG works a bit different in these games which can make figuring out how to manipulate it more difficult/time consuming. Any other reasons I am unaware of

Now you just need to catch a lvl 23 Foongus (ez), make it reach level 24 with rare candy so that it learns Sweet Scent, reset the clouds and skip the remaining members of Plasma Team of Chargestone Cave, and then get Sub 3:00m run

The speed is about the same, but it doesn't lose any time to choose her. The "Creating save data" text always goes away at the same point, so any decisions you make before that in the intro don't lose any time.

​@@chrisricohermoso7117 I meant speedrun. Because there is no category in either game like in Platinum and FRLG. Maybe the elite 4 have too high leveled pokemon for stoutland to handle.

E4R2 categories only really exist if there's additional requirements to unlocking the second round, so in FRLG you need 60 pokes and do Sevii Islands quests. In Plat you need to see all Sinnoh pokes and then complete the Stark Mountain sidequest. In Gen 5 you just go straight back and its unlocked.
