@@NuzlockeJoe since none of the trainer battles are mandatory there should only be around 45-50 battles total (8 for gyms [+however many have trainers, im not sure], 5 for the E4/champion, 10 for titans, 12 for team star, 6 for nemona, 1 for arven, and 1 for sada/turo). so yeah it should definitely be easier

This reminds me a lot of pokemon rangers (in a good way). In that game after you used a pokemon for a task (they didn't have a battling system like main games) the pokemon would be released. However, your starter/partner pokemon was never released. Great video!

Is that, NUZLOCKE JOE?! Nah I’m ngl this is one of the more creative ones. It requires you to optimize how often you use certain Pokémon for each fight, as well as being able to avoid trainers. Also the way you caught 6 mystery Pokémon to deal with the elite 4 is super smart. I just love the way this challenge makes you truly explore more and more Pokémon which is not something many people do since most teams just kinda look the same

I did this for Crystal but only for Gym Leaders and the battle against Red. It was a randomized file. A bit time consuming but was also rather interesting.

You might be able to actually beat this in ruby/sapphire since there's only 50 mandatory battles, and if you remove dupes clause, there are enough encounters from the water routes.

Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire are the games in which I caught my first ever shiny, a Trapinch on the sandy route. I was bored, and deleted the save file, forgetting that Trapinch was in there, as I didn’t have Home to put it in, and no use for it. The Pokegods have forgiven me, however, and blessed me with two green shinies in Violet to make up for the sacrifice of Trapinch. I will assemble a team of green shinies to show the Pokegods that I appreciate the luck.

26:00 sorry to comment so many times lol, but in traditional Nuzlocke rules, different stages are considered different Pokémon, so for example, if you catch a Pidgey, it dies before it can evolve, and you get a Pidgeotto as your encounter somewhere else, it’s fair game
