Paul follows a similar arc to Silver. He started off callous, disgusted by weakness, and caring only about victory. Both are ruthless and strong, but after getting stomped by the local region's champion and battling the protagonist, come to rethink their methods and motivations. Both Paul and Silver are in similar places in that they're still aggressive and relatively cold, but their outlook on Pokemon and methods have changed for the better. If he reappeared and lost a rematch, I think his reaction at this point would be one of begrudging admiration for Ash.

What in the world was Mega Torterra's typing to make it take neutral damage from Aerial Ace, but super effective damage from Water Shuriken? The only way it makes sense is if it doesn't have the Grass Typing anymore, or if that Water Shuriken isn't Water-type.

Here is an interesting idea, it may be hard to work on, but i hope its worth a try, What if, You take celabie the time travle pokemon, to take you back in time inside of the Relic Castle in Unova? To meet a certain king named Kin Gilgamish from the anime series Fate stay night/ Fate zero its pretty basic, but works out in a universal kind of way location: Relic castle Restrictions: Must have celabie in your team Opponent: Gilgamish Fate zero/Fate stay night with a Vulcarona Battle Theme± something ancient sounding the rest is entirely up to you. i really hope you take my request, relic castle deserves so much more than it got in the black and white games. Like this idea? give it a thumps up to hopefully, let it come true one day.

Whoops. Meant to make this comment is own thing. I was hoping for lower levels (Paul stronger than Sawyer or Alain? Not buying it) and a Kalos!Ash vs Paul at his best battle though going the BroGamer route with Ash's team (except more competently) was a nice touch I didn't see coming. Anyways, if I may inquire, how did you determine the levels for both teams? Did you have some reasons behind it or did you just go big for the sake of going big. Just curious is all. Also, have you considered putting Dark Glasses on Krookodile and switching out his Aerial Ace with Crunch?

Answer : It's a custom battle challenge. I do what I want about the level or the team.

Yeah but it's a battle with Ash-Greninja so in Kalos. Since DP Anime Paul Trained his pokemon really hard. So that was normal if his team was at High level 90.

The way I always saw things is that League challengers run the gamut from the 60s (Kanto... at best & Hoenn) to high-70s (Johto and pretty much everything after Sinnoh), Frontier Brains run at the top 70s or early-to-mid 80s, Elite Four are mid-to-high 80s, and Champions are pretty much all in the 90s. Needless to say, Paul and the best in Kalos fall somewhere into the latter three (likely the latter two even) categories of strength. Mostly by demonstration (in Alain and Ash's cases) or scaling (Paul and Sawyer by comparing to the former category). Thoughts on this assessment?

Yeah but like I said it's my choice and it's a customs battle challenge. Also anime and Game are not really the same. You also said "I always saw things" so it's your opinions. Pokemon anime never said level. Pokemon anime are illogic. For example Pikachu lose to Elekid from Paul.

Maybe it's a bug while making Mega Torterra? Could be that it registers Mega Torterra as a different type than Grass/Dark (I'm assuming Rock/Ground since a single Water Shuriken took it out at 3/4th health). That's just my assumption, since games can do weird bugs whenever you try to edit them.
