When I first saw it, I didn't know if I loved or hated it, but the more I watch it, the more it grows on me. I'm still hella hyped for this tho. There is a game called Detective Pikachu, and in the canon of the regular games and anime and manga, not everyone fights, there are also contests, and most people don't fight, most people just have Pokemon as companions. Also me and 3 other friends who have played every single Pokemon game, we have always wondered the same though, which Pokemon do they eat? Tauros, magikarps, mareeps, torchicks, etc? Like idk, I've always wondered.

if they did that, I'd prefer a series of films, one for each badge and one for the elite four. That's the only way they could really do any of the pokemon games justice. This works because it's small and self-contained. Buddy cop film about finding this guy's dad in a pokemon world. Simple, easily summed up in a movie format. What you're talking about would work better for a live action series.

Just give us the main story (which is pretty damn short), maybe a few routes with a quick battle, and the gyms in their entirely. Any Pokémon they catch can have a small scene on their own, plus any main evolutions.

@@One-Punch_Man They could do it, I just doubt they could get the pacing right if they crammed that much in. Basically unless they made each movie super long, it'd amount to more or less a video slideshow of important moments for red on his journey. And don't forget that on top of the gyms, Pokemon caught, character development along the way, rival battles, and general events there's also the villain subplot. Take too much out and people will be saying there wasn't enough team rocket, it felt rushed, they made red into some kinda blank caricature, we never even saw Mewtwo, I wish we'd spent more time on A, B, or C. I think maybe 2 gyms per movie would work and that's only with RBGY games, there's much more to the later games to focus on. It just doesn't fit the movie format as well as a TV show format. I'd be much more interested in more movies like Detective Pikachu with a focus outside the main games, maybe a few supplemental stories about side characters who don't get explored, maybe a story about the characters after the game is over, maybe a movie focused on Ash and Misty's romance. I could get behind live action TV show adaptations of the games themselves but there's so much more potential for the movies

Just pointing out that this is *NOT CONFIRMED* this is only what I think will happen Here is what I think some things that will happen in the movie: The person will kind of refuse to have pikachu but eventually pikachu is by his solving whateverr. Later in the movie they will have some sort of fight and they get separated. Then pikachu will get kidnapped and the person will try to find pikachu. Kinda how movies go these days.

Since we're coming up with predictions, here is one I thought of. The end of the movie reveals the main human character's dad is Ash. They can easily do a twist like that because they could just refer to him as his dad through out the whole movie and when we finally see the dad at the end someone finally calls him by his real name. It will be an interesting twist but only for people who have watched the cartoon before. The idea that the main character's dad is the grown up version of Ash.

The ending should be this: They save the day and the main character decides to become a trainer with this Pikachu, solving mysteries along the way. He asks: "How do u become a trainer?" Then the girl reporter is like, "Well, you collect em, and then, challenge the master." They look up at a huge LCD screen on the side of a building, and there, is ASH KETCHUM, in a robe and shit, looking epic, with a Pikachu on his shoulder. And he says "So you wanna be the best?" Oh shit. The Pokemon Master is Ash, and he's the boss they are gonna meet in the next film. Plus, he has the Pikachu from the show, as this could be in the future when Ash is old and experienced. Boom!
