My dearest Steven, I am writing you this letter to inform you that my marriage to your mother, Nosepass, is ending. We simply do not love each other anymore. She will never admit it, but I know it is because I asked her to give up her dreams and be a stay-at-home mother for your half-brother Nosey. Nosey is such a special child. It is not easy being half-human, half-Nosepass Watching him, I see the look on his face as he struggles with the complexity of human emotions while also being subjected to the basic desire to always be pointing North. It is heart-breaking and I know it has burdened your mother greatly. I fear she has no more energy left to love our marriage. I know you've never truly accepted my wife as your mother. You called our marriage sick, disturbing, a gross violation of morality and ethics But I know you love Nosey. So, Steven, my boy, I must ask that you come home. Come home and be a supportive big brother to Nosey as we finalize the divorce. He will need you now more than ever. I know you will do the right thing. Love, Daddy Stone

28:20 The AI in emerald does a damage roll for all of its moves to see if any of them kill. This roll can crit / low roll etc. If any move kills with this AI-roll, it will select that move. If more than one move kills, it will select at random (even if one move is not guaranteed to kill). I think this Altaria will almost always set up dragon dance, but this time, in its damage check, it rolled a crit dragonbreath that killed, so it went for that instead.

AI doesn´t roll for crits
@tiemen90952 жыл бұрын
@@owenaspinall2046 that is good to know. Sometimes the AI makes weird choices though. I wonder if it rolls for secondary effects, such as the paralysis in this case. @owenaspinall20462 жыл бұрын

I am so justified to finally see someone else get fricced by the dragon rage yellow range thing. I lost my Gyarados to a Graveler to that stupid range, seeing that I hit it with a dragon rage into yellow, and being pretty sure I could live an explosion, I was suddenly rudely dismissed by the dragon rage not killing, only for me to die after getting hit by a rock throw that chipped me to bring me into kill to explosion. This video was a lot fun to watch! A water hardcore mono-locke was my first playthrough of Emerald, and actually my second ever HC Nuzlocke win; I was going to do a less demanding run first but got talked into it and was honestly surprised at how well it went... but yeah, I was playing very slow, very cautious, looking up all fights ahead of time, which really does make all the difference. The big mistakes I had made was losing my Gyarados to a random trainer in Gym 7 who had a Wobbufet which I meant to avoid, and then losing Peliper in victory road to that double-trainer battle that has a slaking with thunderbolt and a Gardevoir which negates its Loafing ability (if I recall correctly? It caught me so off-guard). The two battles which gave me the most trouble were, unsurprisingly, Juan and Wallace's double-team spam; I was completely unprepared for those and ended up improvising stall tactics on the fly but only got away with some luck haha. The cool thing about the Emerald mono-water as you showed here is that you really have so many options to choose from, and there's a fair amount of variety involved. Half of your final team were pokemon I didn't use at all in my playthrough! Honestly, for anyone wanting to try out a mono-type challenge in Hardcore Nuzlocke ruleset for the first time, I strongly recommend this one. The mandatory fights have very few pokemon that pose a significant problem to most possible teams, tons of varied encounters with quite a few reprieves if you mess up a couple, and Emerald is just a really fun game overall.

Slow and steady wins the race, especially in a nuzlocke. One of the best general tips for a nuzlocke by far, and one I learned the hard way during my recent pearl nuzlocke. I lost my Staravia to Gardenia’s Roserade due to me both overestimating my bird and underestimating roserade. It had speed control, and I was dead to a critical hit magical leaf. I did some rough math, and figured quick attack MIGHT be enough damage to pick up the KO... It didn’t, and Roserade got the critical hit to punish my mistake. The thing that sucks, and I mentally smacked myself for this, was that I had a zubat and monferno sitting in the back.

Crazy triple protects, followed by an insane miss or dodge of my pokemon's move, followed up by more triple protects. Repeatedly. I broke my first GBA when I was 11 over it. The first three are insanely good for nuzlockes and Ludicolo is great in emerald late game considering the number of water type opponents and how he resists most of them and is super effective against them. Fun video still

I love your videos! Nuzlocke idea: You can catch any first encounter until you have a full party of 6. However, once a pokemon goes on your team, you cannot put it on the bench, and it's slot can't be replaced if it dies. It's permanently in the Flygon Party. You'd have to choose who to add and when wisely to build a team that will get you through the whole story.

The Skeletons card is unlocked from the Bone Pit (Arena 2). It spawns three single-target, melee Skeletons with very low hit-points and damage. They are the same as those spawned by the Witch, Tombstone, Skeleton Barrel, Skeleton Army, Graveyard, and the Skeleton King. A Skeletons card costs 1 Elixir to deploy.

Ive never been too big on nicknaming pokemon but these names are just so fluid it’s oddly satisfying

I love how you pronounce Facade different each time 😂

Is he mispronouncing it on purpose to be funny? I know he mispronounces Lapras, Ninetales, and Arcanine, but Facade as “Fay-Cade” is unforgivable
