hey. i just found that series today. My expectation was a guy reading the Manga. But man i was wrong. There were music, sound effects, well pased and pictured video, multiple voice actors(they were all very good, and especially greens voice is a perfect match!). This battle was so hype I felt like I was in the stands lol

holy holy holy i've so much to say about this manga like i was gauging my eyes the whole fight and then there's the cliffhanger and my jaw dropped and oh my god. okay now i felt the need to do an analysis for this fight alone. the reason the fight was so good is because its not just a fight between pokemon trainers, its a fight between ideals and morals, blue's ideal of having fun dominates skyla's of "a win is a win", to the point that even skyla has to change her own ideals. it's also why Green seemed to be pissed off because it proved that blue's ideals IS SUPERIOR than green's since skyla's and green's is basically the same. This video alone will probably be my drive to live for the next 10 years because i REALLY want to see blue clash with green even when its obvious that green will win to ensure a better narrative. speaking of narrative, it's also the reason why this fight is superb since the worldbuilding that were given to us synchronizes perfectly with the storytelling as a whole (like when espeon used quick attack and that pissed green). I'll probably come back to this fight later for reference to make good fights in my writing.

This Manga doesn't completely roll with the game rules which gives Pokemon Battles a completely new dynamic, it's more realistic that way :D/

Seeing that Skyla flashback makes me want to root for her more. Her helping a by then complete stranger get a drink prior to the battles really added to her likability factor, other than we know that she grows up to be a Gym Leader, stunning in both talent with her Flying-types and her beauty.

@@XaySamaVA Ahhh. I don't like this at all. Like.. I understand it from a narrative standpoint. Green has to have his idiology re-affirmed now by defeating the one that embodies the opposite of said idiology. That way his ideology can be broken by the protagonist in the finals because he "carries" Blue's legacy as well, but damn - it feels so wrong. I wish that at least his ideology is broken by Blue and Espeon and fights Red with a clean heart. That way it feels like the fight with Blue will have a great significance. Hence, Red will not fight the full of hatred Green, but his childhood friend. The Green that made the original promise to, not this tainted version of him.

@@Thegameshadow1 yeah I totally agree but I think we shouldn't worry too much. Sejun Tombo has created a wonderful narrative so far and Blues Character was fleshed out the most. Regardless of how the battle goes she WILL have an impact on Green!
