It's not just about strategy, mixeli's videos have entertainment value. Not too much of a strategy to OHKO or THKO every mon efficiently, just good old classic face off of almost same leveled mons facing off against each other, struggling to take out each other, each mon trying their best to fulfill their role in battle and finally the player emerging as victorious that's what I love to see.

Pretty close to mine's aswell I had -Typholsion -Lapras -Ampharos -Fearow -Heracross -Espeon These 6 helped me beat Lance quite easily, however in the 2nd Run (Rematch), it was a nightmare. At the time my pkmns were only on the mid 50's and Lance's Garchomp sweeped my intire team with outrage. After grinding for hours I chalenged him again and I still loss to his Dragonite. Took me 6 tries until I defeated him with only one pkmn remaning

I started my journey in Johto back in 2012. I honestly haven't touched my game in years. It was only this year that I decided to replay this game and beat the champion along with Sun and Red on my 3DS VC in honour of Ash leaving the Pokemon anime. This morning, I finally beat Lance with my Feraligatr, Vulpix, Pupitar, Weepinbell, Magneton and Lugia, all at level 50. I even dedicated the final blow to Ash. Several times in fact because either the attacks weren't as effective as I thought or Lance used a full restore. Yes, after several years, I have finally beat Soulsilver, Sun and Red. Maybe not 100% complete, but I completed the main stories in each and that was my goal for this year.

I never undestood what the big deal with Lance's under leveled Dragonites. In fact the whole underlevelled event occured even in red, blue & yellow where you could find a wild Pidgeotto at level 10 (I think you could even find them with even lower levels) in Yellow, to literally R/B/Y/G/S/C having Kakuna's & Metapods at levels lower than 7 both as wild and as trainer pokemon. Even Falkner has an underlevelled Pidgeotto as well. So I was never bothered by Lance having underlevelled Dragonites even if it takes to Dragonair having to reach level 55 to evolve. I was more bothered by the fact that it made that champion fight too easy especially since I played R/B/Y and in those games Lance was a chore if you didnt posses an Ice Type pokemon or a pokemon that could learn ice moves. I used Blastoise in Yellow and it still struggled against that level 62 dragonite since i had no hyper potions left. *This fight was literally too easy to win since Ice Punch is so easily available a Feraligatr, Blastoise, Poliwrath or any other Pokemon that can learn that move make quick work of him :/*

@@NoahgotLEGO Gen 5's music styling & graphics were superior to Gen 4. The battles in Gen 4 took for... ev... ver... The 3D aspects in Gen 5 were better than Gen 4. You'd have the Gen 5 Pokémon in the Gen 2 games which gives even more variety, & finally if a lot of the mechanics that were done in HGSS had been done while it was in Gen 5, there is no doubt that HGSS would be the greatest Pokémon game of all time. Unfortunately it was in Gen 4, which did have the most problems in terms of game play, so that is what holds HGSS back a bit despite it's greatness.
