It's almost strange - when you hear them sing solo, they sound basically nothing alike (MatPat's polished musical theatre voice vs Nate's slightly rougher expressive voice), but in this video, it's so hard to tell them apart! Must be the arrangement.

MatPat sings solo at 0:13 0:23 0:30 0:51 1:02 1:12 1:24 1:29 2:19 and the rest are either them singing together or just Nate. So yeah, what people said about MatPat singing the whole time, yes that's true, though it did take a while for me to notice the difference in their voices. Nate's is slightly lower than MatPat's and Nate sings a bit more aggressively whereas MatPat sings more clearly.

Nate has a subtle vocal fry that MatPat doesn't, that's where some of the emotion in Nate's voice comes from. MatPat has a very clean tone and enunciation, like during "and be the best that you can be" the that going to you doesn't mix to sound like chu.

For everyone wondering how to differentiate Matt and Nates voices: Matt has a smoother voice that is more fitted to pop than Nates voice that can fit into rock styles. They're very similar but in this song Matt sings the higher harmony undertone often, they also alternate lines sometimes and verses at other times so it makes it even harder to tell. I'll put a clear time where it's nate and a clear time where it's Matt in a reply to this comment

Guys I think I know which is Matpat voice already(for those who can't figure it out).Ok at 0:51 there's a solo of Mat singing for like 6 seconds,once your done hearing that part you can hear his voice better when their sing together.And for those who still can't figure out just focus on the guy who has the lighter voice and a straight on American accent.I hope this helps
